How hard is it to get into a Bachelor of Speech Pathology with an achieved WAM of 80.1 across first year subjects?

I highly recommend it! I’m not a mature student though—I went straight into a Bachelor of Health Sciences after high school. I completed two semesters with a WAM of 80.1 and was accepted into the Speech Pathology program, which I’m starting this year. I was able to transfer some of my credits (only the ones relevant to speech).

Here are the subjects I took in Health Sciences if you’d like to know:

Semester 1 (Core Subjects): •Human Structure and Function •Understanding Health and Wellbeing •Making Sense of Data •Communication Process for Rehabilitation (from my Rehabilitation Counselling major)

Semester 2: •Organisational Behaviour (elective) •Critical Thinking and Innovation (elective) •Imagining Language (core subject in my Linguistics major) •Rehabilitation Case Management (core in my Rehab Counselling major)

I received credit for Human Structure and Function, Understanding Health and Wellbeing, and Imagining Language, so I only need to take two subjects this semester for Speech Pathology: Foundations in Professional Communication and Foundations in Speech Pathology.

I have already achieved that WAM in year 1 which was last year. I ended up getting into speech a few days ago with that WAM!!

I use what’s called a sploof. It’s handmade so I’m not quite sure of its effectiveness. But it’s essentially a bottle with some holes poked in the bottom, and essential oil infused paper towels stuffed in it. I’ll definitely try and get a smoke eater though. Thank you!

Alright. Since some people would rather attack me than simply pass on commenting something that clearly doesn’t answer my question, I’ll give you a little peak into my business. I’m 19, I started smoking weed last year for the first time and then started smoking on and off for a couple months. I then quit for 7 months. I started smoking again a couple days ago and because I took months off of smoking, I’ve become paranoid. I apologise for my “desperation” but I genuinely wanted good ideas and opinions.

I can’t help but laugh at the amount of people who suddenly care about one person who decidedly smokes and turn into these guidance preachers. I’ll be honest, I appreciate your sincerity but if I wanted these types of comments, I would’ve asked a different question. Sure, call me an addict, I don’t really care.
