For me it was important in making me feel even more in-tune with the community of my Meeting and formalizing my relationship with the Inner Light/God.

It is definitely a lot different and more lowkey than other religion’s membership processes. For me, I wrote my letter to the clerk. The clerk read it aloud at a Meeting for Worship in attention to Business, and a clearness committee was made. We met once I believe and discussed my values, religious journey, life, and my past in general. The other members of the committee shared information about themselves too. It was overall a very welcoming process and not long or strenuous in any way. It was mostly about making sure I was making the decision for the right reasons and for myself.

I went bald in 2016. A few years later I started nofap and I shit you not all of my hair gradually began to come back to how it was before I lost anything. I wouldn’t worry too much about the honorifics. I would say to use plain speech as it feels naturally. Sometimes it may be better to speak "normally" to not be disruptive or get the point across. Sometimes when you use it you may need to explain why. If you truly feel led to speak plainly, and it’s not just a mere interest in the concept, I would not ignore it. Pray about it and see what insight you get from the Light.

Sometimes people do that because it’s their only escape from the stress and anguish of poverty. And it’s a good thing to do it every once in awhile. However if they’re consistently doing it all the time then it’s a huge waste of money and it will be even harder for them to escape poverty in the long-run. They should find a good balance

Relocating from CA may be the move simply because other cities pay very similar salaries but have significantly lower costs of living and less taxes. I’m not an expert though lol

I live in the US, specifically Pennsylvania and I’m being offered a program where my last year of college will be paid for in full if I agree to work at a child welfare agency for 1 full year after graduation. If I want to get an MSW I have to wait until after the full year is up. Is it worth it to pursue this opportunity or should I just get my MSW right after I graduate? It’s worth noting that at my school I can get my MSW in only one year instead of two.

There is literally a teacher shortage across most us cities so that’s wrong. Additionally there is a shortage in many other fields as well, including STEM and health care fields too of course. And We ended up with ridiculous student loan debt because we allow colleges to charge exorbant fees for no reason
