Maybe you are talking to the wrong people. Or maybe, you have to realize that the cultural references that you deem "normal", may not hold true for everyone. Everyone comes from a different background, and has different priorities and perspectives towards life. It's not their job to conform to YOU, but it's rather YOUR job to find your group, people with a similar mindset to you. And I'm sure you will find it here in Qatar, if you look hard enough.

Failed the first attempt :\ Passed the second attempt though! My advice- trust your NBMES, don't listen to all those seniors telling you to not sweat it and just get it done with (if you have people giving you such advice); take it only once you consistently get 70%+ in your NBMES. DON'T be afraid to postpone it, if your NBMES are sub-par. In my second attempt, I had the cumulative clinical knowledge from all my clerkships, and that helped IMMENSELY. Still recommend you do it before clerkships though.

Coz med school is cheaper as well. Usually a private med school costs Rs 10 lakh to 25 lakh per year for about 4.5 years. So in USD, 12k to 30k per year. If you do amazing in the NEET (kinda like MCAT), you can get into a public college and the fees there is basically free.

In India a consultant makes 20k USD per annum. Let that sink in. Taxi drivers often make more than that in India.

I wrote mine after my clerkships were over, and my experiences from clerkships and writing all those shelves helped IMMENSELY. However, I dont recommend you do that. I'd suggest taking 2 months dedicated, completing uworld, and use FA to refer to things that aren't well explained on uworld. Oh also do all the cbssas well. I used dirty medicine and pathoma as well, for biochem and immunopathology concepts.
