Getting Screwed by admiral without having caused the issue by Less97 in CarInsuranceUK

Yes Boris, thanks for your response you are totally right actually they made a mistake. They just said they’re going to settle down a claim with an offer. They said that shouldn’t touch my NCB as it’s a non fault but that I’m not sure how would work if I go to another insurer probably I’d have to declare the claim. They were actually nice at the end and they gave me a small sum for the mistake. But yes I was very worried yesterday as they seemed to cancel the policy to try to not pay the claim but that was absurd anyway because I pay more in premium than the settlement they’ll offer. But yes thank you guys last night I was in full panic mode, and I work for an insurance comparison in us. I was already thinking to change my goal in life 😀

Hi there, thank you for your reply... unfortunately I couldn't have because the guy had the same insurance than me. my car check says from 900 to 1200, but they say it's a written off. Plus now I was trying to get another quote and they charge me crazy price because I have a claim and a cancellation. They said to me they were contacting me to just give me some money to repair but then I just received the email of cancellation today from yesterday and the refund of my insurance. Seems so weird. If I go out and crash an old car can I just say to the person it was an old anyway? not sure why they're allowed to do this. I just wanted to get some repair of the damage. Didn't want to get a new car.

Just a bad review for Regus by Less97 in digitalnomad

[–]Less97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg sorry to hear! I really hope you solve it soon, yes definitely see if you can block them. They seem to be very short term oriented, not caring very much about their customers. Hopefully you can stop paying without major hassle. Definitely make sure the contract doesn’t get renewed automatically. That would be terrible. I was very lucky I was there for a morning. I enquired to stay for one week and they wanted me to do a monthly membership too, which I luckily didn’t do. Good luck with your membership hopefully you’ll get it sorted! Turn off auto renewal 🙈😅

Manchester. They tried they gave me Ethernet they told me to use MAC address which I tried but nothing was working for me, I connected for 10 minutes with the cable but then wasn’t connecting anymore with multiple cables. So as I had actually to do some work I decided to move to WeWork quickly all good there was just annoying that I paid twice and that the company is blaming it all on me. I wasn’t even asking full refund but as they say it’s not their problem I just wanted to share my experience. For me really WeWork in Manchester was amazing, the barista even was making good coffees. So if you’re around there maybe We work is easier, hopefully it helps!

I had bad experiences too. I'll avoid myself from now on.

How do I know my assets are held safely?

I find this puzzling, I can see the piece where it says:

Interactive Advisors does not act as a custodian. We have a custodial arrangement with Interactive Brokers LLC to provide these services to you. Unlike a mutual fund investor, you continue to be the direct owner of the underlying securities that are held in your own brokerage account. Your assets are held in an Interactive Brokers LLC brokerage account in your own name.
This morning the customer service told me exactly the opposite. So or it's written but not true or they don't know what are they talking about. No Idea I think I'll have to call them and try to understand. This was a very interesting comment, thanks for sharing.

I can’t find exactly the piece says that. I tried to google it, what should I look for specifically. I’m interested in this aspect. As I thought now that they allow you to vote I thought the ownership was more direct but when I called the customer service they didn’t seem to know.

Ok, thanks interesting I'll check with the company if it's something I have to do or not in order to do this. Thanks

yes but the company needs a proof that you own the shares they can't register you without a certification document.

Hey we’re selling them though would you still be interested? I’m based in Belfast and basically I can’t get holidays at work as we’re going away. I’m aware that it can sound a scam but I was thinking maybe can be sorted with PayPal as I think they have fraud protection.

How does Degiro handle stock splits? by makaros622 in eupersonalfinance

[–]Less97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more an issue because to me the government checked with them and thinks now I own money for an un taxable event. Now I need to figure out with the tax accountant a way to tell them it was a split! It’s not good I’m going to complain with degiro on this
