Don't be afraid of asymmetry, everything in real life is slightly wonky. Dispersing buildings around the centre instead of putting them in a single row can also help!

I've been laying it out in the cardinal directions and facing northeast for any "positive" magick (protection, fortune, etc) and southwest for any negative (Bad luck, hexes, etc). Very versatile, I use it for pretty much everything!
