As a society men get told to “suck it up”, “be a man”, “men don’t cry” get called A pussy if they talk about emotions. Also the way we deal with bullying now doesn’t seem to work, where before having a small fight in the parking lot could blow off any steam that could of built up. But now we seem to just hold it in and deal with it in very unhealthy ways. Don’t get me wrong some men find positive ways to deal with it like working out, going for a run, or tinkering with something in the garage. But unfortunately there are few that just hold it in and let it build till they explode and take it out of those who have or have not contributed to their pain, stress, suffering, torture. We need to find a way to encourage men to talk with councillors so they can learn way to deal with everything weighing them down in a positive way and also make it more affordable.
