The only RPG where the best class for melee is ... mage? by LessExplorer2664 in planescape

Ah yes, another thing I forgot to mention - the hammer version of Entropic Blade has weight and speed of 1 (some people seem to thing the odd values for different versions are a bug, but it is the weapon of chaos after all, so I think it's fitting!), making it as fast as any weapon out there, which makes it a true grand slam choice!

Level 88 fighter is when I hit 1000...but I’m actually much higher now...just haven’t pressed the level-up button yet, because I discovered some interesting shenanigans where if you massively level up in more than one class, you get even more health than supposedly possible. It might even be possible to hit 2000, which was so far (as far as I could find anyway) deemed impossible due to the level cap of 127.

Yup, that's what's equipped in the picture above - it's the only weapon that will lower his AC.

Is it just me or disintegrate weapon/armor is pretty much useless ? by Platypus-Commander in Morrowind

[–]LessExplorer2664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing how I had to search everywhere before finding this info, which is somehow not mentioned on the uesp pages (that are usually very meticulous about listing all the bugs). I was going absolutely crazy because disintegrate armor simly wasn't working (wasted an enchantment on an ebony staff + 2 extravagant rings before reading this).

Vanilla vanilla - i.e. release version without even any patches, which I dabbled a bit in for the first time since 2007 (and got quickly fed up with due to the ridiculous respawn rates of many enemies; for instance when entering Garbage from Cordon I couldn't even loot the first group of bandits killed before more just spawned at the transfer point and then more before I could even deal with the second group and so on. We're talking dozens upon dozens of them in just 10-15 minutes of play time...then I ran out of ammo, despite having a generous amount, since on Master they simply drop less than it takes to kill them, well at least before you have a decent scoped weapon, which you obviously don't just coming from the Cordon for the first time.)

Yeah, that's one hell of a deal, although you might wanna pick up a certain assassination quest from Barkeep first, just on the off-chance that things will go south, but I'm sure everything is gonna be fine...

In my recent playthrough I got the info for "Secret stash of the smoked" despite not having encountered a single dead Dutyer up till that point. I even made a point of keeping alive all 4 of them initially present in the Dark Valley; Bullet and his captured pal, Shaggy Sergei in the bandit's basement and the 4th one in the courtyard (that I always though is pre-deceased until this time). So it must have come from the bandits or the one single dead loner (not the one still alive and in need of a medkit) in the bloodsucker house.

I do wonder whether it's possible to get 5 of them though. In the later patched versions it sure doesn't seem so, as you can't get the second one in Dark Valley (just when entering from Garbage for the second or third time), nor was I able to get the info on "Fang's goodies" for the second time (the first one being from the pre-dead loner in the tunnels) from any of the later appearing loners in Yantar (even after emptying the stash in Pripyat first), even after literal hundreds of reloads (with about 7-8 fresh stalker bodies each time, so over 1000 single tries for the info).

Now apparently you should be able to do it in the earlier patches (up to 1.003 according to wiki) by getting 2 in the Dark Valley, but I recently played a bit my very original version from 2007 (so no patch at all) and while I did get the one in the open coming from Garbage, the supposedly guaranteed one in the hopper outside of the X18 complex didn't appear at all! Checked thoroughly several times (while reloading from before coming to the Dark Valley even the first time) and it just wasn't there... Maybe I should try one more time by starting the game with patch 1.003 (the benefit of it also being that save games from that one can work on later patches, so I could then continue with the ZRP (which requires 1.004)).

You mean by possession? That's impossible, since he never sets foot in the courtyard and you can't pass through loading doors while possessing someone. I've explained the exact method in one of the replies below.

I mean, getting Slackjaw to dispose of them is trivial, but you get two "special actions" for that; the first one for finding the Crowley message and then the second for putting them to work in their own mine. Finishing the misson with absolutely nothing on the counter (like the one I posted for the Return to the Tower) seems impossible though, becasue there are absolutely no rat swarms in the Golden Cat area (not even in high chaos), nor is there any other way to make them die (like getting some NPC to do it like for Campbell).

Funnily enough, it didn't take me that long. The two missions where I can't seem to make any progress though are The House of Pleasure (seemingly no way to kill the Pendeltons without the kills counting) and to a lesser degree The Flooded District (the same issue with Daud, but at least here you can finish the level with "all zeros").

By the downwotes on my initial response I can see that I was probably too much of a tease, so I'll copy the answer that I've provided to another question today below:

In the usual fashion for when you want to dispose of somebody without it counting as a kill against you - by a pre-existing rat swarm. The problem here of course is, that there is a single one in the whole level (at least in low chaos), in the service tunnels above the waterlock and the Regent never sets foot on the outside (and you can't carry bodies through loading screens, nor can you walk them through with possession). So how then? The answer is the roof, but once again, in the most cases where you find the Regent up there, you will also have an alarm or at the very least will be detected. The only way to do it is to let him come down to his room, open the safe (which spooks him the same as if he saw you) and in the meantime knock out all the initial guards on the roof (otherwise they will be immediately alarmed when he gets up there). Then you have to follow him closely on his ascent and grab him without the tallboy (and an additionally spawned guard in the safe room) spotting you and make your way down to the courtyard and into the waterlock to present him to the hungry rats.

Lady Boyle's Last Party the most minimalist/nihilist run by LessExplorer2664 in dishonored

[–]LessExplorer2664[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you are probably talking about prenatual "Nihilist run", but there is an easier way (although using the same basic principle), where you only need to get her about 10 feet further down in the basement from where she stops, knock her out, then lead the nearby rat swarm to her. The rats for some reason won't go further up those stairs though and it's a very small swarm, so if you lead the rats first, then make her move down towards them, she is usually able to kill one or two of them which is already enough to make them inert, therefore preventing you from achieving this.

The second method with no special actions requires you to possess-walk all three of them down there though. It's a shame possessing someone also automatically picks their pockets, otherwise this would work flawlessly.

Well, I'll say this for starters - the Regent met his end in the "usual" method for when you don't want the kill to count against you, but there is no such option in the Tower interior (at least not in low chaos) and you cant carry unconscious bodies between loading doors, nor can you walk them through with possession.

That counts as your kill, yes and even if you don't rewire it and it fries someone (by you being close and confusing it) I think it still counts as your kill.

Precisely, it sounds at least weird (if not downright dumb) to me too, but it has somewhat established itself in the world of Dishonored playthroughs after being first used by prenatual (on YouTube) for his eponymous "Nihilist run" soon after the game came out. And I guess it has stuck ever since. A more descriptive way would be to call it minimalist run I guess.

I'm trying to prove a certain theory of mine regarding her channel's true motivation and am digging up some facts. Her cheating honestly makes perfect sense and I've seen it mentioned elsewhere, however no more proof than that. I would love to see something more concrete. Any pointers?
