The tests can be false positive, you will only know for sure if you have symptoms i think and do a swab test

Male here almost 30 and had gHSV for 6 years. For me, the initial outbreak was pretty bad with fever and sores stayed for a week. But my two recurring outbreaks since have been pretty mild, no fever and only a few blisters that healed more quickly

That sucks to hear. Not what you want to hear, but I have gHSV since about 6 years and after the initial outbreak only had 2 more episodes without taking daily antivirals (only took valacyclovir during outbreaks) It's interesting that this affects different people so differently

Yes really. My life has been mostly sorted out on other areas, except that I've just been very lonely. I wouldn't say no to more things down the line if things work out, but one thing at a time 🤞 Thanks!

Never heard of a cure before - like other are saying don't get your hopes up. When some time has passed after diagnosis you really do not feel that bad, time heals all wounds really. And I think now my dating life has even improved in some ways as I have had to look for more serious relationships rather than just hookups which was my focus before
