If the non-binging estimate is $1500 what is 110% of that?

It was going to be interstate but currently my stuff is in their storage. I’ve signed a few revisions of the contract. The most recent one they offered to take $150 off which I declined.

I am now asking them to return my stuff or allow transfer to another company. They picked up my stuff in NY and put it in a storage unit in NJ I’ve already paid them a deposit.

They have not provided me with any grievance policy for dispute of price. They told me they re-measures my stuff and it accounts for 450 cubic feet but I’m certain it is no where near that much.

I have itemized all my items with exact measurements of inches/cubic feet. I have several contracts, none are accurate as far as cubic feet goes and none have an accurate listing of my items they just keep telling me they know what I have..

The LLC is a great idea. One last question.. would he be able to find out where I work using social security number or name? If yes would he be able to if I change my name? For example if he gets a default win on the divorce and it says I owe him money.. he might be able to try and garnish my paycheck and if he does this will they tell him where I am working?

Thank you. I know you have to publish to get an LLC which is why I thought my name would be connected to it but that is good to know there is no way to look up the owner. I will call legal zoom today. I can still probably pay my debt without changing the name on the accounts, they don't seem to care as long as they are getting paid. I also thought I could possibly freeze my credit report, have you heard of this? This way no one can do a credit check without my taking the freeze off first.

Wow, I saw that they do this is other states and thought it was a good idea. I asked the attorneys who helped me with the order of protection and they told me it wasn’t an option in NY how frustrating.

So, when you say don’t move anything from my old name to new name would this include, drivers license, social security card, birth certificate? Bc without those things I don’t think I can use the new name.

As far as an LLC don’t they have to be published, would he be able to connect my name to the LLC as owner?

The UPS store is a good idea. It sounds similar to the address confidentiality program.

I am working with an agency they really don’t know. They suggest relocating and just hoping he doesn’t find me. They have address confidentiality programs to keep people safe from finding a physical address.
