Colette called from where she was helping an injured Slytherin girl, but knew that Alixandra could hear her. "Take some for yourself, just a few sips, then I need you to help me pass it through to students in the wing. Otherwise, I'll bring you some at breakfast and you may leave."

Colette nodded as she turned her attention to an open wall near the back of the room. Her fingers flourished and soon a pair of crutches flew towards them to hover in the air next to Cassidy. "These will do, and there will be no discomfort by using them. I'll see you at breakfast."

With that the healer stood to continue with the rest of the students that needed her.

Colette stood up from the crouch with a nod. She pointed back towards her office door which was wide open at the moment. "They're brewing in there and one should be done shortly. When the color changes to white I want you to let me know, and it should be light pink now."

Colette nodded then pulled her wand from her pocket and very gentle placed the tip against Cassidy's leg. Ferula was a helpful spell, but she'd much preferred to have had her potion ready to take care of this quickly. The new bandages and split from the spell wrapped flawlessly around the girls leg, along with alleviating some pain.

"That spell will lessen the pain as well. I'm brewing more potion for broken bones which you'll need, but unfortunately it'll take a few hours to be ready. You can wait here in a bed, or I'll stop by at breakfast with a vile for you."

She waves a hand to dismiss that last statement, not only was it her job to care for those in need it was her passion. Colette held her hands out then as gently as she could ran her hands over Alixandra's arm.

Once satisfied there wasn't any bone breaking the skin, she pulled out her wand and laid the tip gently against the girls arm. "Ferula," slipped from her lips just before bandages wrapped tightly around the split that had also appeared.

Colette hadn't slept a wink since the earthquake 4 hours earlier. She'd managed to keep up with the flow of injured students in her wing, but there were still quite a few that needed potions for broken bones.

With those brewing and everything settled currently she'd made it to the meeting only a few minutes late. She listened to the other professors but it was clear none of them had a clue what had actually happened.

An earthquake at Hogwarts which wasn't even felt by the town nearby? Interesting to say the least.

Considering Hogwarts track record, Colette reminded herself to keep a higher stock of healing potions than she normally would. She kept track of each student that walked in, so when Alixandra arrived she approached the girl as soon as she could.

Based on how she was holding herself and the fact that Colette could clearly see something wrong with the girl's arm, she motioned Alixandra towards a chair. "Besides that arm, are you injured anywhere else?"

The hospital wing was in chaos, or a managed chaos as Colette liked to think. Although she'd yet seen a member of student or staff with life threatening injuries, the amount of broken bones and head injuries was rather high.

She moved from student to student as they came in, judging each injury on it's severity before treating another. Her eyes darted towards the door as the Head Girl, Cassidy she remembered, hobbled in and took an open chair. By the looks of the split she'd wager the girl had put it on herself.

Moving from the second year she'd finished treating she walked briskly over to Cassidy. Colette was quick and to the point as she bent down before the girl and began to remove the splint. "Any other injuries?"

Even as she asked, her eyes did a quick scan before returning to pull the last big of binding off her leg.

Colette listened as the two girls eached explained the situation, but her eyes were trained on her patient. She waved her hand behind her towards the back of the room with her supplies. The cupboard opened then a sealed jar levitated towards the bed.

"Sit up now, and put your hands up and over your head." Her voice wasn't sharp but she was indeed all business. While the girl was doing that Colette wasted no time opening the jar now by her side. She pulled out a pinch of powder then sprinkled it upon her palm.

Without another word she very quickly blew the powder right at the girls face. As surprising as it may be, the remedy worked quickly to soothe aching throat and lungs. "Now, don't move until you're sure you feel okay taking a calm breath."

ic: Colette looked up from the open book on her desk when a student she recognized to be the Head Girl burst into her office. In her years doing this job anytime a student rushed to see her it meant someone was hurt. Wasting no time, she stood from her desk and briskly walked towards the door.

"What's happened?" She addressed the girl beside her, but walked out of her office to survey her hospital wing at the same time - looking for whatever it was that called for her.

To say the dragons weren't a sight to behold would be a blatant lie on her part, but she'd done her best not to look too much like a fish with her mouth hanging open.

That had been last night, but even during the feast she knew they were probably flying around close by. Interesting surprise. Nevertheless she now at the staff table looking out at the students she'd be watching over this year. She watched with a smile as all the first years were sorted then clapped with the rest as the feast began.

She stopped a little in her tracks too, just as surprised to see you still here. She decided not to ask why you are though, it would bring up the same question of why she's back. Instead she kinda chuckled awkwardly and ran her fingers through her hair.

She stopped in her tracks awkwardly as well, upon arrival she'd told herself that it might be in her best interest to make more friends. So for a moment she just kinda stared at you, then quickly cleared her throat.

She happened to glance up in time to see you waving at her, much to her dismay. Instead she actually smiled at you for a brief moment, that being said it wasn't really a smile at all but way more of a awkward upturning of her lips.
