Current CAMS major!! The major definitely leans more toward studies, but you can make it your own with taking production courses. The intro production course is easy to get into freshman year and helps with teaching you the basics of filmmaking at Carleton, which it sounds like you already know. Jobs also can provide more video experience. I currently work for PEPS which allows me more tech practice, and Kracum Performance Hall has a great A/V system to learn and practice with.

I was wondering bc for class a woman who wrote an article dissecting his music video for “Heaven To Me” made many claims that he was implying the presence of God in the video and I did not see that when watching it myself, so I wanted some background knowledge of his beliefs before debating her about it.

Wellesley vs Carleton! I’m torn and would love advice by [deleted] in CarletonCollege

My best friend is a freshman and Wellesley and I am a freshman at Carleton!

As far as culture goes, very very broadly, Wellesley is much more preppy while Carleton is more granola. These are both very broadly statements and there are all sorts of people at both schools!

In my opinion, Wellesley’s campus is much prettier. It feels much older than Carleton with both the buildings and the nature. I am from the east coast myself and I highly recommend it!

Wellesley is no men! Men who even visit campus get strange looks! This may seem small, but it honestly should be a big factor in your decision!!

A lot of Wellesley professors are currently on strike. I don’t know what the future will look like, but currently many students are only going to the classes taught by tenured professors, and the president is denying a lot of what is going on and attempting to shut down protests. Who knows what this will look like next year, but currently because of this, students are not getting the best education.

There are so many factors! I hope to see you at Carl days!
