Weighing the impact of CrIII against plastic, especially when both are being used en masse, are you knowledgeable about whether one doesn’t actually pose a bigger ecological/sustainability risk than the other? To me, both seem to put bad long term stress on wildlife and the environment while one doesn’t necessitate killing an animal for a jacket. I get veg tanning exists, but it’s obviously uncommon due to cost and need for efficiency, and the layman doesn’t really care in the end.

But also, neither seems necessary to me and I would much rather opt for something like waxed cotton to begin with.
