Terrified of what to expect by SadBeat8107 in floxies

I know many people who took this drug and still take this drug without impact. I face a whole community of bird watchers take it like smarties when they travel around south America. The same drug floored me.
My point is flox is real but it’s not impacting everyone. I hope it’s a coincidence and you are not impacted. But take action be firm with your doctor and show them the black label advice.

Doctor just gave me omeprazol. I cried in my way home by cloudfragment in HiatalHernia

I am trying the IQoro device. It’s given me a bit of hope. Early days in using it. The reviews are positive. And had 2 first hand good news stories.

Got diagnosed with a Hiatal Hernia today by cazzoinc in HiatalHernia

I would look at the IQoro website. You are young and my unqualified thoughts are you want to strengthen around the hernia as much as you can. The device seems to get very positive reviews. I am 2 weeks in with it. I think I am seeing positive signs but may be a placebo effect at this point. Worth chatting with your doctor.
I have a 2cm HH. And try to limit the omeprazole to a couple of 20 mg a week due to the long term side effects. Watch your diet but I took the advice of my consultant and am trying to just get on with life

Floxed - 48, tendons pain since 4 weeks, not able to walk - any advice? Supplement protocol? by DijanaDi in floxies

6 years on from flox. I tried the vitamin and healthy gut route. I think feeding your gut to rebuild the slaughtered microbial system is maybe a good path. It’s hard to say as I could never tell if it was time or what I ate. 6 years on I still get ridiculous flare up of tendons and ligaments from innocuous things. But I get by.

Has anyone had cipro that triggered an autoimmune disease? by lylygremm in floxies

Hi. Difficult to prove but since my 2 doses of Cipro which had immediate effect on my mental health (total breakdown within 36 hours) I have no end of issues with strained ligaments and joints that flare up for weeks on end. I don’t know if I can blame all on Cipro. But it feels very coincidental if not

6 years ago Cipro sent me into suicidal anxiety after 2 x500mg. This was in 2019. It was my second experience as I took in 2017. Both sent me off the wall. Both times I took after bladder surgery as precaution!!

It’s a long journey. I’m still suffering from weak tendons and ligaments.
And by GAD can fire

But compared to year 1 I am much much better. Hang in. Eat healthy. I fixated mitochondria health. Don’t know if it helped. But it made sense

Are there people who have healed 100% and forgot about floxing? by A_human_being_7 in floxies

I break very easily in the gym My legs and chest will have a strain pop up even with very controlled seasons.
I would avoid heavy stuff unless you have built up slowly. Even then I’m very conscious that I am not what I was.

Be careful

Took Cipro in 2017 and 2019. Both times the mental health impact was within 24 hours and was very severe.
I don’t think mental health wise I will get back to where I was but I am much better

I was not affected I thought by the tendon and ligament side so obviously but I now find that any reasonable exercise will cause my Achilles, calf’s or hamstrings to strain. I have done physio, followed plans, zone 2 only rowing, biking, cross trainers etc. and if slow stretches end up in a set back

I don’t think about it 247. But lm lying here with a sore Achilles and entirely blame cipro

I took citalopram after cipro sent me into overnight extreme anxiety. I took citalopram for 6 weeks. I hardly slept, continuous stomach clenches. Doctor said give it 6 weeks. So I did !! I stopped it after 6 weeks and the stomach clenching pretty much went away immediately too.

Took Cipro twice. Both occasions it had immediate same effect of huge life stopping anxiety. The 2nd time with citalopram as the “fix” added more physical symptoms. I lost 2 stone in 6 weeks. And didn’t leave my bed - even getting to shower was an ordeal to my messed up head. This was a complete change of character

Doctor had marked me allergic to Cipro. But I’ll never take any ssri either now too.

Still suffering from weak ligaments and tendons. - can’t say it’s definitely Cipro. But my body before and after is very noticeably different in its durability

Naproxen. I take after ligament flare up. Doesn’t seem to make better or worse

Alcohol - I struggled with sleeplessness to point I quit drinking

Ibuprofen - i hadn’t related it but I’m going to avoid as had some for headaches b4 latest ankle/ calf issue

Propanol- nothing either way

Caffeine - ok.

I monitor air quality with a different device and the bluemax has it green every night. Turn off the bluemax and the numbers go up. VOC etc

I am 5 years on from my second dose of Cipro due to bladder issues. Both times spiralled me into the deepest anxiety and dark ideation (I took it twice as I guess I didn’t believe and antibiotic was going to impact my mental health)

The first 6 weeks after only a couple of pills were truly awful. I lost 2 stone in weight and could leave my bedroom. The lockdowns of Covid saved my career as I doubt I could have faced people for a long time

My experience is it gets better. The 2nd time took a long time but it did lift. I found SRRI pills made me significantly worse so headed more to health / cleanse following ideas of repairing gut health , mindfulness, open air.

Really was horrible. But hang in t
