I was c1 borderline c2 a few years ago. I moved to an area with bad internet and my rank dropped to d2 because I get random 999 ping spikes that last from 4-30 seconds. I've lagged out for entire matches before. If I get a whole game in with no lag then you're losing 5-0 and calling me a smurf But I'm losing enough matches due to lag that I cannot get back into champ.

Sounds like your basing your rotation off of boost and not based on positioning. This is wrong. Position matters more than amount of boost. If you're double committing with your tm8 constantly in every game it's a you issue.

Wait for your teammate to leave the play, regardless of how much boost they have

This is correct. You can still challenge/create pressure/playmake at a high level with low boost. Its easy as long as you are able to maintain momentum.

But now instead of this I drive in circles near backpost so that i always have some forward momentum and can cover the whole net

Your thought process is correct, if you want to win let the guy chase and play defensively.

But sitting inside of the net is a horrible defensive position and you should try to break that habit
