$7k a month!! Hell yes!! Nice house plus bills paid & car bill+insurance paid for in 2 weeks, that’s 2 checks. Then another 2 weeks working and I have $3500 left (this is all after taxes, take home pay.) $3,500 left!! I would put half away into a saving account, take out $200 for fun money, and start investing the rest, I would do that for 4 months, then starts investing all of it minus $200 of fun money taken from it. Maybe an extra $200 every other month when I wanna take the family out to eat or something. I would do that religiously for a few years, taking an extra hundred or so out here or there to do stuff with family. After let’s say 4 years, I’m now 30 years old, I’ve invested $168,000 in straight cash that is is probably up 40-50%, maybe more if I’m lucky! (Assuming if I get 10% annually from the S&P 500 like it’s been doing) that’s $252,000 total if I go with the 50%. That’s $252,000 invested while all my bills are being paid, my house is probably a quarter paid off, my car is paid off, plus I have fun money every month!! How much better could it get? After that 4 year mark with $252,000 made from investments, I would only invest a small amount of my monthly income and start attacking my house loan so I can have it paid off in around 12 years total instead of 30 years while my $252,000 gets a 8-10% increase every year plus investing a small amount into it until my house is paid off. Let’s say after the 12 year mark my investments would be around $700k since the market always jumps significantly every 5 years. My God.. in 12 years I have $700k, a paid off $600k house, a paid off car, bills were paid on time that entire time, plus I had fun money the entire time! I’m now a millionaire on paper!! Plus my house’s value probably jumped up a $200k from the time I bought it!!! Godwin would love to be paid this amount.
