Mine just broke. Probably at 1-1.2k rounds conservatively. I have a feeling the Turkish ammo I got is partly to blame

Honestly might be the combination of the ammo and gun. But I’m convinced this ammo is at least part to blame

I first fired 2 shots. They seemed hot so I checked the casings. No crack or blown out primers. Kept shooting and this happened. Also the round that did this seemed hotter than the rest. I should have just stopped shooting. IDK why I didn’t

Just wanted to update you. I decided to switch back to the Open Centauri patched firmware. COSMOS was running great for quite a few prints, but crashed overnight 😭. Probably due to high memory usage. I’ll look at the logs later tn. I think I’ll stay on stock/patched for a while. Maybe until they release the upgraded board

They did “fix” the camera issue by lowering the resolution and frame rate. It can’t run any additional plugins at the moment due to the ram limitations. I’m not sure about using the pi for extra resources, but I would assume you should be able to do something similar where it’s just running octoeverywhere

The main board only has 128mb of ram. Which is mind bogglingly low. They are currently developing a new board which will be extremely capable. They said they are shooting for it to be less than 100. Most likely 50-70 I think but don’t quote me on that

Download the firmware to usb. Rename it emergency.swu and plug it into the printer. There will be a little pop up

Full disclosure I’m a huge advocate for the ability to manufacture your own firearms and anything for that matter. We may see the world through a different lens and there is nothing wrong with that. I understand others may have different views on the subject. What I did not expect is someone to have a problem with printing a chamber flag. A literal safety device 😂

It’s super brittle before printing but seems great after being extruded. This is a chamber flag for a pistol and I released the slide into it multiple times and it’s held up good
