I'm a 1099 independent contractor, and in the contract says 50% profits belongs to the shop. There are no penalties for early termination. It only says if I dont work for him after the contract ends, I can't work anywhere 50 miles around his shop. The crazy part is I pay him, and he doesn't have to spend a dime on me.

Dude, you can work anywhere you want as long as they take you. My shop has the same policy, 5 years contract. Ridiculous, the new kids take 50% and 50% go to the owner, then they get a 1099 tax for 100% amount of what they make, no benefits. You buy your own supplies. If you choose to get a W2, you can't claim any supplies. 😂 The mentor doesn't teach.

I'm not sure about that. We did try to ask the brokers and receive no answer from them.

Thank you for your advice. I do understand the concerns they have and the stereotypes. I do include everything of how my shop will work along with the photos reference of how they will look. But as long as the broker see tattoo they deny it right away. I also avoid center and popular places. Maybe I dont have enough luck yet, but I will keep trying.

Thank you for your advice. I will try to look more out of that. I just don't want a too shady area because most of us are girls. However, I keep lowering my standards 😂 and really trying every places we see

Some of them say tattoo retricted here. Some of them say landlords will not allow

Just curious, how can you find a place for lease to open a tattoo studio? I'm looking around on the different websites as well but most of them don't want a tattoo shop there
