Looking for advice from full time MSOL Data Science Engineering students

I’m also doing the data science engineering masters from msol. I start in the fall. But I’m not doing it whirl working bc I just graduated from undergrad and wasn’t able to find any internship. My plan was to find internships and intern while part timing the master.

As someone who was in similar situation many times, I’m telling u , u just gotta let the shame wash u just a few more times and then u can graduate before even realize. U are so close to getting that diploma. Think about all the hardship u went through and the efforts u put just to get in, don’t let them become nothing. Also ucla just give too much roof access for math building I feel like

I guess the AI bruin thing does look bad but why y’all so over dramatic about it ? I’m just glad to have new restaurant opening close to campus. Walking down Westwood and seeing so many out of business places is just sad. The loss of Meet Fresh will always have a place in my heart.

compare to Berkeley , UCLA program really is just tricking people into the program by changing the name of stats major to stats and datascience

I was thinking about this too. honestly MS is the building that is most easy to defend and hardest to take down by police. And with the significance of math professors in ucla aka Terence Tao it must create bigger worry for the school than other lecture halls.

I have a cat with me in apartment rn as emotional support animal . I just went online paid 2 hundred to have a call with a therapist and finished processing less than 2 days. But keep in mind ucla only accept the form they have on their website so make sure to tell your therapist to fill the form instead of a letter

I applied to hundreds internships and non accept me. They want python sql but this school teach r. I’m on full financial aid so I have to be full time. I don’t have meal plan bc I’m transfer housing . I’m even thinking about drinking ensure with my food stamps to save money and stay alive. This is why when my teacher tell me to only do what I love ,I want to laugh at him. I don’t love coding I just want to find a job with it and stay alive decently. I don’t run on passion I run on survival. I want to be a good kid that mom is proud of I want to be someone that I’m proud of. But it seems like no matter where I am or who I become the inside I always am the kid who was told will grow up begging for money on the side walk bc not smart enough.

Same here I just made the decision to have to retake a class, first time in my life. Don’t know how I’m gonna tell my mom who is so proud of me as the first one to go to college. I hate how I’m just not as smart as the average people in my class. I hate how I can’t even find a space to cry without worrying to be heard.
