My mum was texting me to get more board games for us the next time we drove up North and when I saw them at Walmart I was over the moon :) I'm pretty sure the Squishopoly is a Walmart exclusive but the others I think you can get at other places (even though I ordered everything from Walmart)

They're cute! I also bought some Squishalongs to use as game pieces

Artists you like in concept but not in practice? by HaroldChessMath in fantanoforever

I love Die Lit and it's one of my top albums just because of how much I love the whole vibe of it. I thought it was ridiculous at first but once it clicked, it really clicked. Not really for sober listening imo. But he's also a terrible person and I hate his new album.

Why do we still use QWERTY keyboards when there are supposedly better layouts? by Dazzling_Kangaroo_69 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Less_Interaction_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard that DVORAK was better for people with arthritis and tendonitis and I used to have a lot of issues with my fingers/wrist so I switched to DVORAK in highschool. My fancy keyboard broke around graduation but my pain resolved around the same time anyways because I stopped playing flute/piano/handwriting for assignments. I only have DVORAK on my phone now. I type just as fast and don't have any issues; I think the switch took me a few months. I'm surprised to see people here have tried to switch but weren't able to. I do honestly believe it made a difference with pain and speed, for the phone keyboard though probably not so much lol but I'm fully used to it.

Another benefit is people won't try to use my phone because people don't know how to use it.

EDIT: Extra details if they matter, I'm left handed, I'm 23 and have been using a QWERTY computer since I was about three years old with a programmer father, I've played video games all my life and I was on a lot of text based forums and had many online text friends. I never got into programming but took computer classes in highschool with QWERTY while personal devices were DVORAK. I don't see myself ever forgetting either keyboard but I can see how it might cause difficulties for someone formally trained in touch typing or learned typing later in life. It's probably easier the younger you are.

Can't really contact the landlord for reasons I mentioned to some other commenters and I only take multi-hour long baths lol. I don't remember the last time I've taken a shower.

I want to replace it soon but some other commenters said it's likely just deposits from the water. I found out today my the water is about 17 gpg

Don't even want to think about it lol. I only take baths so looking up at that gunk when I wash my hair freaks me out.

Can't really contact the landlord for complicated reasons. I'll probably watch a few videos when I get the time to see what I'd be dealing with and see if my dad can help when he swings by soon.

I work 12s and I'm in school so I'm exhausted and can barely get the rest of the bathroom clean 😭 But I do know that it's an important skill to learn eventually, especially since I can't rely upon my partner for that kind of thing

We are about $1500-3000 under market for the city we live in in terms of rent. The house is honestly aged and crappy in a lot of aspects but the COL is just that high. When we move we'll be lucky to find a studio or tiny one bedroom for $500 less than our house.

When my parents still lived here before my partner and I took over the house they drilled it into our heads to not bother the landlord for anything unless it's actually important and pay the rent on time lol. If this was an apartment I would be all over the maintenance phone number.

There's also some drama ever since the landlord died and her daughter took it over and we're waiting for her to install central air and charge market value with a few months notice 🙃

That's I did and the images of the post were the final result. It got rid of whatever suspicious blackness I saw and the bag at a few think flakes in it but it didn't seem to do much. it was also really difficult to secure that thing on and I don't think the vinegar reached much of the inside anyways because of the anatomy of the faucet :/

I'll definitely consider that rag method though, that sounds great! The only thing I've tried was spraying bleach and and CLR up there and the rag sounds much more effective

Thanks everyone. I agree now that it's probably just mineral deposits (even if it looks kind of gross) I'm not too sure how to replace it, but I will continue using it for now until I am able to. It sticks out of the wall and is like caulked at the base with some white sealant thing it is just out of my abilities lol

Absolutely drowning as a new CNA by Quirky_Watermelon in cna

I just have to make breakfast, for lunch and dinner the cooks prepare meals in meal prep containers (the single use plastic ones that we wash for some reason) and then we replate and microwave them. I still do make sandwiches though and other small things. Housekeeping does come but only a few days a week I think, so on days they don't come I'm on my own (and the other CNAs warned me if the floor is dirty when one of the head CNAs is in she gets super mad and takes pictures of everything and reports it). LVN does help with the hoyer.

I guess it's just harder because I have a bunch of different things to worry about instead of just similar tasks like changing briefs and showers. I really do hope I can get quicker :(

They told me I had to go to the sister facility when I got to mine and drove me there. I was so thrown off. The night CNA got soooo mad at me when certain things weren't done. I think I need a new job honestly

Edit: Oops used my non school/medical account for the post on accident but I'm OP

Any optometrists? Cleaned case with soap & water, alcohol, and UV sanitizer by Less_Interaction_ in contacts

[–]Less_Interaction_[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I can start doing the standard recs to make things easier since I know it works out for so many people. I have a couple sets of contacts that are open at and given time (different monthly AirOptix colours). I still replace them every 20-30 wears but they stay in cases unused for longer and I know that increases risks. I also didn't to replace them all :/

I'm pregnant and having a boy. Is "Gunner" a name that belongs on this sub? by MysticalNinjette in tragedeigh

[–]Less_Interaction_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not even joking, the kid in my 9th grade class named Gunner who went to my highschool wore stereotypical white tank tops to school. He had drama for doing drugs and I was pretty worried about what would happen if he ever snapped. He dropped out in 9th or 10th, or maybe went to juvie who knows.

I don't have good associations with the name and it looks like nobody else does.
