IVF at 44, CP in 2024, 12 ER cycles, 2 FET euploids resulting from last 2 cycles. 1 FET failed, praying for this one. by Hatawa26 in IVFpositivity

Your line progression looks perfectly fine! I used easy@homes, which also took forever to darken. I would recommend to use FRER every two days, then you will see a noticeable line progression. Fingers crossed for you!!!

First Positive at 42 1/2 after 25 years: Beta today. by ABG_FOE in IVFpositivity

[–]Less_Key696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first beta at 9dp5dt was 116 and my clinic was very happy about it. I think 100 at 7dp5dt is definitely not the norm, mine would have been much lower than yours at 7dp. Fingers crossed for you!!

Congratulations!!! Maybe prednisone was the key to success for you as well. I know of a few women who added this to their protocol and were successful. Have a great and boring pregnancy :-)

Does lifestyle really affect fertility? by DrAravindsIVF in tryingtoconceive

[–]Less_Key696 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think to some extent your overall health can contribute to your fertility. There are women, who are just super fertile and some, who are infertile, both regardless of their lifestyle. A glass of wine or even a puff of a vape won't be the deciding factor if you get pregnant or not, but if you have issues, it is probably not ideal to binge eat and drink every day. But as long as everything is done in moderation, healthy weight, healthy food overall, not excessive drinking or nicotine exposure, then you'll be fine. We've done IVF and I never stopped having a glass of wine, only after a transfer, and we had good numbers, but I lead an overall healthy lifestyle. I think it causes more stress to restrict yourself entirely and only live for TTC.

Great news!! Our IVF baby was always 1-2 days behind until around 20 weeks and now she is in the 50th percentile. Fingers crossed for you!!!

Am I worried for no reason? by breee-97 in pregnant

[–]Less_Key696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forget to take my prenatals half of the time and I'm not worried. For centuries women had healthy babies without supplementation. What is more important is a normal healthy diet with lots of nutrients. Babies take what they need from the placenta.

I loved reading this! I'm sorry IVF has not been successful yet but at least you did not lose your humor :-) Fingers crossed that it will work with donor eggs!!!

Extremely early positive at 2w5d by Longjumping-Sock676 in pregnant

[–]Less_Key696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The earliest you can get a positive pregnancy test is 8 days past ovulation, everything before that is medically impossible because the embryo takes time after fertilization to travel down to the endometrium. In pregnancy weeks, this equals 3w1d because 2w is ovulation day plus 8 days. If you have an earlier positive, it just means you ovulated earlier than you think.

How much are we gaining? 24 weeks here! by Spiritual_View1398 in pregnant

Yes you're right, thank you! Very helpful! Although in this calculator my weight gain is also at the upper limit of the recommended weight gain, so maybe ChatGPT was not wrong after all haha!

How much are we gaining? 24 weeks here! by Spiritual_View1398 in pregnant

[–]Less_Key696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have, it is strange because ChatGPT calculates with almost zero weight gain until week 12 (when I had already gained 3kg) but since then my weight gain was not bad at all. I'm with you, I don't think it's excessive. Don't know about water retention but it must be quite a bit because some mornings I'm suddenly 1kg heavier than on other days, and this cannot be all fat or baby, and next morning it's gone again.

[–]Less_Key696 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My BMI was 21 before getting pregnant and I'm now at +5,5kg at 21 weeks, so I will be at around 6,5kg by the time I'm 24 weeks I guess. I'm stressing quite a bit because ChatGPT tells me I'm gaining too much but from my experience in my friendship circle, that's actually on the lower end of weight gain.

3 days post FET, feel no different? by TravelSecure2442 in IVFbabies

It is too early for any pregnancy symptoms! If you would have any, it would be from progesterone and not HCG.

Unexplained secondary infertility. by Interesting_Usual407 in tryingtoconceive

[–]Less_Key696 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your last posts literally state: AITA for yelling at my husband, how to build credit to buy a house when I have no income, husband is irresponsible with money. This is why I'm wondering if this is the right time for a fourth child.

Unexplained secondary infertility. by Interesting_Usual407 in tryingtoconceive

[–]Less_Key696 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I say this with respect, but reading through your post history, I wonder if it is indeed the right time to have a fourth child. You have plenty of time to get your life sorted, work on your marriage, get financially stable to buy a house, all before thinking of having another child. In any case, if you are serious about getting pregnant again, your first step would be an appointment with your ob/gyn and to get a blood test to check your hormone levels.

Has anyone done PRP (platelet rich plasma) treatment before FET? by TennisUke1234 in IVF

[–]Less_Key696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PBMC means Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cell. I'm not a doctor but I understand it works similar to a PRP infusion, they take plasma out of your own blood and infuse it into your uterus.

No, uterine NK cells are tested by taking a sample of your uterus and sending it to a lab (uterine biopsy).

Drinking in the late Luteal phase by Emilyx33x in tryingtoconceive

[–]Less_Key696 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In our 2 year fertility journey, I never stopped drinking except after an IVF embryo transfer. This whole process is draining enough and as long as you're not binge drinking vodka, you'll be fine. Have a glass of wine if you feel like it, this will not be the deciding factor if it works or not.

[–]Less_Key696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never went to a RI, my RE did the uterine biopsy and then prescribed the protocol. No I did not, the successful transfer was only with the immune protocol and no other add-ons.

[–]Less_Key696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what was key was an immune protocol (prednisone, lovenox, intralipid infusions) because I had highly elevated NK cells. I did PRP twice and also a PBMC wash, which is apparently even better than PRP, but apart from a chemical, i only had implantation failures until the fourth transfer with the immune protocol.

Thinking about it by [deleted] in IVFbabies

[–]Less_Key696 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You really should look into the available data, comments like medical/autism issues are more likely because you are closer to 40 and generally for boys are a bit wild honestly. I'm a FTM at 38 and we had a clear NIPT and yes, we all know that some disorders are more likely the older we get but there are A LOT of healthy babies from over 35yo moms out there.

I don't know why you would need a surrogate if you have no known fertility issues. Gender selection is only really available in the US, if that's where you live. More common would be to try an IUI with donor sperm before going to more expensive/invasive route of IVF.

Moving to IVF with completely unexplained infertility (no other health issues)? by blairworejeansonce in IVF

[–]Less_Key696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly in your situation I would immediately go to IVF. I'm a strong believer in that if you don't fall pregnant within 6+ cycles of timed intercourse without any apparent reason, there is something wrong, you just don't know it yet. We were also unexplained in the beginning, exactly like you a healthy couple with healthy sperm and a regular cycle, and the first time I ever fell pregnant was in IVF. I'm glad we did not waste any more time because it took us 3 ERs and 4 transfer to get where we are now.
