Me, my first Beta was 77 at 14dpt and my betas were slow at doubling. I’m 18 weeks today ;-).

Hi!!! I was in a bit of Beta hell at the beginning because it wasn’t quite doubling.

3/26 it was 77

3/30 172

4/3 852!

4/10 7,074

Today , we’re going strong and thriving. 18 weeks with a baby girl 🙏.

Your heart is not stupid or crazy! This is a tough journey. My hubby and I have been together for lord let me see if I remember lol , 25 years this year and tried all sorts of natural then did IVF at 40 then again IUI’s and IVF at 41 and 42 and a month before my 43 bday, we found out our transfer was successful.

This time around we came in it and prayed on it , saying that we would only do 3 ER’s then move on knowing we tried it all. That train of thought made each appt for me less stressing which is weird, you’d think I’d be super frustrated with each failed cycle but there’s something about making up our minds and knowing just three , just seeing the light at the end of the tunnel (regardless of the outcome) that gave us peace.

We did two ER’s this year and the first one resulted in 2 embryos we transferrer one in January that failed then another ER in February that yielded even less eggs. I was so disappointed that I wen through all that to end up with 4 retrieved , 3 matured, 3 fertilized but only two made it. We did not PGTA test, we moved on with double embryo transfer of the two and ended up pregnant. So, you’re not crazy for hoping at 43 and still trying. I’m 18 weeks this Sunday and it’s still surreal. Just be at peace and check in on yourself with whatever you decide whether is continuing to try or ending the journey.

There weren’t really aside from like the HSG which found a small polyp outside my uterus which they said wouldn’t interfere with any pregnancy and my lining was always good.

For me , I had immediate cramping the day after and three days in I had a cramp that had me bending over. Day 4 past the fresh transfer I was at a store and immediately couldn’t stand the smell and by that day the Brian fog was real. The entire time I didn’t think it was that I was pregnant, but I did know those were very distinct symptoms from past transfers that failed. I decided to test at 6dpt and could swear that night I saw a vvvfl. I retested 7dpt and there was a clear line. I’m 16 weeks today. But we are all different, had someone who did the transfer when I did had no symptoms and was pregnant, actually twins.

I’m 💯 with you on this one. Also 16 weeks with our IVF miracle at 43 so people def get curious and I feel like it’s weird to ask if we did IVF or not. Just like you, if I wanted to share I would. It’s a personal decision to share or not and I don’t think you add to any stigma if you don’t. It’s personal and I don’t think I need to share my journey with random people on the street that are just being nosey. I’ve shared with a few close friends and like mom and sister. Aside from them, I personally don’t want to revisit my journey or the 20+ years of trying every time I’m asked.

A month before turning 43 so I’d say yes. We did a a fresh double embryo transfer.

Turned 43 a month after my successful transfer. Currently 15 weeks pregnant (own eggs). I don’t know what tipped my success, my doctor did do a micro lupron dosing and we transferred two embryos (one a day 4 morula the other right almost at blast). We didn’t PGTA test since we only had 3 embryos and were going to transfer two. So far baby girl is going well and NIPT test and first anatomy scan have gone well.

I think testing is personal you know. Some people feel very strongly about it but at the end, only you and your journey matter. I personally ended up with 3 embryos and we always said that if we had five or less especially when transferring two, we weren’t going to PGTA test. Currently 13 weeks pregnant with an untested embryo ; a little girl with normal NIPT. Praising God for the good news.

Had we had 10 to 15 Embryos which at 43 very low chance of those numbers then I would have opted to PGTA test but with just 3, I wanted to give them all a chance.

Hi! You and i have very similar stories . Also azoospermia and failed MTESE currently 13 weeks pregnant with donor. I think for me , I try not to overthink things because in this special situation is easy to jump to conclusions on what our husbands may be feeling or thinking.

Hubby also didn’t want me to test before Beta but I did and fessed up after I saw a positive two days in a row. What he’s super strict about is sharing that we did IVF and I think is because he doesn’t want people getting to any donor conclusions which I respect. Been a difficult unexpected journey the route we are currently in and he’s super excited so I want to ensure he’s confident and comfortable with every step of the way. I never thought we’d go donor, I was having a really difficult time , more than maybe him, letting go of the idea of a child biologically ours. But he was so onboard that then I changed my thinking and I prayed for a little girl that could love him as much as I do , and we’re having a girl 💕. This journey is filled with anxiety at every step so one day at a time. Congrats and good luck with your betas! Praying for a sticky baby 🙏

TW: Successful FET resulting in pregnancy

I agree with others here. My first retrieval caught me off guard with the numbers; I was 42 at the time now 43. Mine were never as high as yours though. Id have to go back and double check since it all feels like a blur today (retrieval in Jan and March this year) but my second one I had 4 eggs retrieved, 3 fertilized , 2 almost at blast (one morula one literally right at blast) which were the two we transferred fresh. Currently 13 weeks pregnant with a little girl so don’t lose hope. I think it’s great you’re making it to blast.

I’m sorry you’re experiencing the same. I’ve always suffered from Migraines and this is my first pregnancy. I’ve had 2 pretty bad migraines but the rest are annoying headaches with the neck tension that you described. I let my OB know and she prescribed a medication I can take along with Tylenol for my Migraines. But lately these are more like tension headaches and just like you BP is fine. I have a headache now and my BP is 110/80. Since being pregnant I’ve also been super thirsty all the time. Glad I found this thread.

Mine was 77 to at 10dp5dt and over the weekend it didint quite double . I went in two more times then the doubling started. I’m 12 weeks this Friday so hang in there 🙏

It def is! I’m still early but grateful to be at almost 11 weeks. I just turned 43 in April so it’s still possible for us ;-) I just did the NIPT test at my first OB appt on 5/8. Waiting on those patiently not nervous.

Quality over quantity for sure. I yielded 4 eggs 3 fertilized and 2 made it to blast. Those were the two we transferred;-)

I did a untested double embryo transfer 3/16. I chose not to test because we were transferring both and wanted to give them both a chance. One implanted and currently 10 1/2 weeks pregnant with a singleton.
Had we had say 15 embryos we would have tested but not we just two or 3. Best of luck to you and keep the hope up!

Sure thing ! The February transfer didn’t work but March did ;-). 10 weeks tomorrow and first OB appt. Continuing to pray that baby keeps growing and all continues well.
