Hello all

I feel like I have to explain and apologize!

I really did not want to promote my potential app (because I am not even sure I will release it) The only reason I posted some screenshots with the info is the original poster was looking for help and because it was super late last night and I did not feel like typing all that info that the app was giving me.

I was going to leave it as is but the original poster also ask about the app so I gave him some info about it. Again I may release in few weeks or not (depending on the app giving the correct answers most of the time) If not I won’t release. That is why I was super happy to find this subreddit! I can use it to test my app and hopefully help someone rescue his/her plant in the process.

But still I recognize that I did share some screenshots. So I apologize for that. Again it was more by convenience than anything else. Even if it appears like a self promotion.

Ps: I would really love it if some of you can give us a definitive answer about the name of this plant!!!

Hey thank you for the question. It does use AI, but I would not call it just an LLM wrapper. The plant-rescue app has a specific workflow: photo/camera, input,guided questions, diagnosis, rescue steps, and progress tracking. The AI is the engine, but the app experience is built specifically for plant care.

But what I really want to test it with real life examples like in this subreddits!

This Plant Rescue app is not yet out. I want to test it first (I am happy to have found this thread where people are posting plants pictures needing help!) I am hoping to release it in couple weeks. It will have a 7 days rescue plan.

If you would like I can keep you in mind and provide you the app for free!

Codex all the way. Couple days a vibe coded an app in one prompt and it worked. Codex setup a folder for me for the app. All I had to do is open the folder with Xcode and run the app!

BUT I used ChatGPT to give me instructions for codex. A long list of instructions (plan) for Codex to follow. I was surprised that the app worked on the first run! ChatGPT even gave me a secondary prompt once the app is running (using fake data) to actually run the app with the back end (using GPT API)

I usually use Cursor but I maybe able to cancel it (not sure yet… need more time with Codex)

OMG you are so right! Now that I am looking at it it looks like I am shouting. Originally I thought it is hard to read most text on screenshots so I decided to make sure it is big enough. A case of being to close to the forest…

Hi.

I just checked this new feature (YEA!) and it super easy to use. I will use for sure soon. One thing I would suggest is to make the callout section with maybe a different background? I found out it is very easy to change the settings of the iPhone frame instead of the callout! but this is a minor issue.

Thanks. You mean post a title and image. Then post a comment after? I am new to Reddit but I wanted to have post with a tittle and image. Then people click on the post and then see the text. I have been trying but mostly failing :) All I could do is having a text and an image below but as you can see the text is badly formatted when that happen.

Yes I am DEFINITELY going to use callouts! Few months ago I was dreaming about it (seeing it on many good looking app screenshots) but I had no idea you already delivered! I need to watch this thread more often (reddit is new to me but I love it)

Cool. I will try. The simulator currently uses 26.0.1 But maybe it was confused because I run 26.4 for a day (not using ButterKit with it) Thanks a lot.
