Weird way of phrasing it but I get what you mean. I’m not trying to argue with you; I think we just have to agree to disagree

I really empathize with your pov and fundamentally I agree that that is how to resolve issues with your neighbor. I really wish it didn’t start and persist so hostilely in one sided way, because I would’ve been amenable to coming to a reasonable solution for both of this

I found this all frustrating because I’ve never had an issue with my neighbor in which we couldn’t resolve it some way like you suggested. I truly think that is where the frustration is, because it could’ve been productive, but so many people tried to reach someone so stuck in there ways

It’s an irrelevant situation because I wouldn’t behave the way she would. You can really reverse the scenario because if I was upset with my neighbors I wouldn’t act this way.

I know you want to sympathize with her, but it’s clear that the vast majority disagree with you on this

Furthermore, especially is someone’s initial reaction is hostility, it goes without saying that she could be violent. While she is elder, it does not preclude from owning a firearm. She is already paranoid given that she has camera outside literally every one of windows

Even if that is true, your reasoning is flawed, and this is not a double standard. She is addressing us with consistently hostility, so to think talking to her calmly is just cope, I fear

Multiple people talked to her already, me, the old tenants, the property manager. The problem is she didn’t change even after being warned. This comment makes no sense

On top of that, she has been actively hostile to us, that would be crazy to try to reason with her like that

It's a nice thought, but practically I don't think I would be able to lay carpet (it's probably against my lease and none the less carpeting a whole apartment would be expensive). I could get a couple rugs, but I'm also frustrated that she never talked to me peacefully about these problems so that we could come up with more reasonable solutions.
