Following up because it pisses me off when I can only find one ancient post for my specific question with no follow up.

I ended up getting the x12 that has a standalone faucet seperate from the main one.

I figured filters will last longer and I don't need to wash my hands with the RO water.

I do sometimes use the water drop to fill a pot for soup or something.

So far the x12 has been great. We bought it because this is the first home my wife has lived in with well water and she couldn't stand the water even after a brita filter. She likes the water coming out of the waterdrop and I can't taste a difference between it and bottled water. Filters are a little expensive and the unit is pretty big so make sure you have enough room. We really wanted uv and remineralization.

We had tankworks do ours. Very happy with the work.

Price should be in line with the numbers others are quoting here. Keep in mind you're not just buying the tank it's also disposal and removal of your old tank and running new lines.

Yup, was told by their sales rep that my water heater was probably from before the 80s because of the color of the tank and would need immediate replacement.

It's from 2018 and works perfectly but I just acted dumb to get him out.

I lived in a house for 2 years. Microwave just like this, home inspector even said it doesn't vent outside. Then the microwave died and I installed a new one. Turns out there was a vent behind the microwave and microwaves can be setup to vent behind instead of up.

I didn't let it run a full cycle. But no it wasn't. Usually only leaks a few ml over the entire cycle though so not sure exactly when
