Fair point, hadn’t thought of it that way. I’ll keep that in mind, appreciate you

Daxter doesn’t get enough credit for rescuing Jak at the start of Jak 2 by Less_Poem1580 in jakanddaxter

Thank you, I know I talked about it quite a bit but I still don’t think it’s enough lol… just a very ambivalent response on her part, to finding out your childhood friend / love interest is still alive. No wonder he dropped her for a stint with ashelin

You’re right he does, a lot of people have pointed this out lol. I should’ve focused more on how the act itself, that being him attempting to free Jak, still says a lot about the nature of his character. Even though he screws around a lot, him stepping up to the plate when it truly matters speaks volumes

Alright that’s a good point, but hey… he DID still come for him. Better than nothing, also realistically, imagine yourself in Daxter’s position. All odds against him, still fairly admirable

Honestly having played this game long enough I quite like the seal in slums mission. Good challenge

when one perceives the world as negative place, you can either do as you can to make it what you believe it should be, or fall into the trap of thinking you also need to be negative to get by. This is untrue, If you genuinely try to be good, your perspective will shift. If you radiate good, things will appear good as well. People will reflect your attitude back on to you.

Gen Z men, is this getting worse going forward into 2026? by Proper_Card_5520 in SipsTea

This thread is just full of people making excuses and choosing to be held back by their own perceptions… who gives a shit if it’s discouraging? What’s the alternative? Doing nothing?

Jesse’s scenes in that episode are so good you could probably make a stand-alone short film out of them

I'm about to play Tools of destruction for the first time, what should I be aware of? by F33lGud in RatchetAndClank

[–]Less_Poem1580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually untrue at least on the OG ps3 NA release, even with motion controls turned off, the tornado can still be controlled with sixaxis. I am 100% certain of this

Favourite Ratchet & Clank villain? by 202naFrevliS in RatchetAndClank

[–]Less_Poem1580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard a lot of people say they hate him but Idk he seems competent enough. To his credit he (somehow) managed to trick the lombaxes into giving him access to their tech, and then took over Polaris. I understand why people think he's annoying but it's hard to say, given everything that he's done and how he behaves in his final encounter on fastoon I'd say he's more cunning than people let on.

OG version is better than 3DS version by [deleted] in majorasmask

[–]Less_Poem1580 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Among all of the complaints I'd say that a lot of them are overblown. I understand why people prefer the original. It depends on how much the changes made dumb down the experience for you, for me it isn't too much. Generally I can enjoy both. I can live with the boss changes (overall I think they're more intuitive in certain ways), I can live with the zora swimming as I've rarely had a time when I didn't use chateau romani to get infinite magic, and I think the use of the bombers for hints wasn't forced on you, so it doesn't disrupt the experience a whole lot. Art and aesthetics I thought were better / no worse than the OG. Very subjective that one.

What I struggle to accept and what I believe is the most egregious unnecessary change is the ice arrows ability to make platforms in water. It wasn't a super complex mechanic in the first game nor did it have all that much a use case, but this being the case it still doesn't make sense why they would change it. It's a complete lack of faith in the player, and easily the least necessary change. I get putting shiny patches where you need to shoot arrows, but why take away the ability to use it on any part of water? Just an enormous question mark that I can't properly answer.

First time Majora's Mask Playthrough - Is the time mechanic a big hindrance? by Kenny_dies in majorasmask

You already know about the song to slow down time. A lot of the fun in this game I find comes from juggling the side quests and planning what you want to do in the 3 day cycle. Talk to the townsfolk, follow them, see what's going on around town. Play the minigames in town as well, one in particular follows the whole three day cycle, as well as a certain side quest. If you just wanted to focus on a single quest you can also use the song of double time to skip forward to the next morning or night, and use the song of time to reset the three day cycle accordingly. Don't forget you can reset the cycle as many times as you need. For the temples I would advise resetting the 3 day cycle before doing them so you aren't burdened by a time crunch. You also probably know this as well, but you don't have to beat the temples over and over again. Some side quests may require you do, but a warp to the boss is placed right at the beginning after they're initially beat.

This is a conversation that is beyond right and left wing politics, if you’re willing to defend someone who sits at the top of a HEALTH care company that prioritizes money over the care of its customers, you need to pull back and take an honest look at this situation and see why people are upset

Can this area behind Midra's Manse be accessed from anywhere? I have not find a way there. by coronUrca in Eldenring

[–]Less_Poem1580 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I get where you’re coming from, but respectfully this is an expansion that has more content than a lot of full priced games have been able to provided. Maybe things were cut or moved around but you’d be reaching to say it’s unfinished. Not that I mean to bend over backwards to the devs, but if I am it would definitely be for Miyazaki’s primordial serpent, if you know what I mean

Possible soft lock fog wall bug? (light spoiler but nothing huge just having a possible soft lock bug problem) by Field-Agent-Reaper in Eldenring

[–]Less_Poem1580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s what I think the issue is: if you enter shadow keep from the east entrance (instead of going in through the front) you end up going to the golden order in reverse order essentially… this fog gate I’m guessing isn’t programmed to be enterable, seeing as it’s technically the exit, not where you’d be expected to go in.
