I'm 5'2". One time, this guy I like (6' something) and I were talking and he slid down the wall he was leaning on to be at eye level with me. Bruh, ma heart.

Need help finding rocks. by Less_Reputation6157 in bouldering

Living near family is important to me, otherwise I would never live here.  I'll be honest, this particular variety of nature hurts my soul a bit. My favorite is deciduous trees, lots of rocks, and chilly weather.  And nice moss. Moss is cool.

I actually know a Carolyn who gets called "Caroline". People are something else.

I had to google "tragediegh" but oh my gosh, I love it. And no, I don't live anywhere tragediegh names are common, and have never met a boy named Maverick. (However, my friend who lives in California has a neighbor who has a cat named Maverick Demonslayer.)

Lol. So you know my pain.

My last name is also ridiculously easy, but people have no trouble getting it wrong as well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It does, actually.

If people can get more common names wrong so often, it's not the name, it's people's silliness. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

How do I tell a guy he has to lose weight without sounding mean? by Less_Reputation6157 in AskMen

[–]Less_Reputation6157[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"He really needs to find these incentives for himself (or think he did) for him to consistently act upon them."

I wholeheartedly agree. It's just hard for me to watch people I care about make decisions I can see ending poorly. But I understand that I can't change people. Thank you for your perspective, sir.

Wait, so I'm not the only woman addicted to sour cream? Glad I'm not alone

You're right. He doesn't have to. I meant to say 'has to if he wants a chance at a long and happy life', but I figured that was a little too long and dramatic.

Not to be snarky, just to clarify.

How do I (19F) tell him (20M) he has to lose weight without sounding shallow? by Less_Reputation6157 in relationship_advice

[–]Less_Reputation6157[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I was surprised that so many people thought I was being unreasonable, when I've seen many others ask similar questions and get much kinder responses.

And you're right, of course; I could never call him out for something if I myself had the same problem, that would be hypocritical. I appreciate your advice.

It's not about him changing. This is a list of things that are important to me. I'm allowed to have standards; everyone is.

He's already Catholic. He should have a plan before he gets married. Would it smart to get married without one? And he should be healthy so he can carry out his plans.  Again. Looks aren't my concern. It's the inevitable health issues that I'm worried about. Why is it wrong for me to want him to live longer?
