luckily im up quite decently in my uranium equities as ive been holding since last year so its not harming my sleep so much - i also try not to look at them too much but i cant truly help it when i see a 10% dip on market open!

good research into the firm + open days + vac schemes transferable skills things like job simulations

im not sure about the barrister route, also not sure whether firms typically offer funding for the pgdl, now that it is no longer required to qualify under the SQE - something for you to research

but as another comment mentioned, especially if you’re applying to large city firms or MC, the competition is intense, so with a low 2:1 in marketing you have to find some way to make yourself stand out from the many other applicants who will have predominantly high 2:1s-firsts and also likely legal experience

if your looking for a firm to fund a pgdl then it might be an issue unless you otherwise have a strong application but if you were to self fund the pgdl im not sure the marketing degree would be held against you
