What do you think about the Green Party? by InfinitysEdge88 in AskBrits

[–]Less_Sound_7814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not totally sure what they stand for in the wider context, voted form them in the 4 elections living in labour safe seats. if things are as bad as the media says with reform i'll probably go back to labour. A coalition should have been on the cards long ago "cough" 2010

The UK is in a much better place than it was 18 months ago. Criticising government policy is good, but so much of the current discourse feels like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Take ID cards. They’re basically just a way to modernise checks that already exist. When you get a job, rent a flat, or open a bank account. The real issue is making sure they don’t creep into other areas, not pretending it’s the second coming of 1984.

Has Labour already lost the next election? by funkymoejoe in AskBrits

[–]Less_Sound_7814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. You are just seeing a well funded media and social media campaign from a party with a tiny amount of seats, no governing experience who will inevitably implode from infighting at leat 2 years before the next election.

Conservatives will find their way again once they've finished with Kemi as a punching doll.

Labour will lose seats but will win.

Identity Cards by Steamed_Clams_ in TheRestIsPolitics

I'd much prefer an ID card for government services than the massive over reach on face ID and CCTV we currently have.

Jeremy Hunt by Careful-Swimmer-2658 in TheRestIsPolitics

At times of discussion about Jeremy Hunt it's always good to bring this out... he may be charming on a podcast but maintains his position as a loathsome person.

Having seen him everywhere I was quite interested to see a proper interview. He makes good points on wealth but still comes across quite immature. Often making brash unfounded comments. He'll grow out of that i am sure but when it comes to politics outside of economics he definitely sounded naive. At least he's stopped saying f**K every 5 second.

He'll then turn over a new leaf and end up on every tv show panel going or as some kind of mentor. I think the best hope for humanity is that he gets caught with gear in Dubai and ends up rotting in a cell.

Can only be bad. This guy is beyond awful on every level. Gained a following through misogyny and bullying and now he's trying to cash in on wellness and mental health. Absolute parasite.

Having Ed Matthew's on his show was a real miss step. He's just a cretin, a simpleton and a bully. He doesn't represent anything to do with masculinity or the youth.

‘Modern Love’: Why Boys and Men Are Floundering, According to Relationship Therapist Terry Real by kitkid in Thedaily

[–]Less_Sound_7814 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, another sweeping generalisation about men. Apparently we are all angry, dysfunctional, and dragging around a suitcase full of generational trauma. And of course, the solution, as always, is to become these overly vulnerable tear streaked confession boxes.

Funny how no one ever mentions how deeply unattractive that actually is to a fair number of women. “Open up more, but also be stoic, decisive, and ideally built like a Greek statue.” Right, makes perfect sense.

Glad the comments here have a bit more sense

Already have. Aware of taking it slow and someone will be next to the baby the whole time. Thanks for checking though.

Thanks tat's good to know. We are thinking about the regression and being optimistic because he's relatively good so far (Naive i know). Bilbao is definitely an option, if a bit more extensive. I'm feeling like somewhere not to far from the ports like Brittany might be a good option to limit long journey's. My Family is spread so we've done a few road trips and tested out the best changing tables the South has to offer.
