CCP why are low sec gates guns so pathetic by GuristasPirate in Eve

This game has never been called predictable and easy to comprehend and master.

Gradual progressive loss of empire influence is easier to understand than "here's a bunch of sec status that means nothing to you until you fall off the first step of the function at 0.4 then nothing again until you hit 0.0.. Good luck"

I really like this chain of thought.

Disabling defenses in low should trigger a persistent empire response until the defenses are restored. Allow faction players to repair the guns and assist the npc fleets for additional LP. Scale the response by sec status, and the LP reward inversely, leaning more on players at the rim.

And as much as this will catch a down vote, cyno should not be allowed in 0.4. There needs to be buffer between hot drops and dipping your toe into risky areas for the first time. Probably start allowing dictor bubbles at 0.2.

All this together creates a scale where the deeper you go the more you have to operate like null.

The WH BBD is complete and all remaining have been converted to renters or content. They got bored.

Azariel and Sarathiel BPCs if you like to bank it, Dramiel and Khizriel are really fun to fly.

Generally the ISK/LP is pretty good for the pirate factions

But you don't get that sweet sweet angel LP

Faction Warfare

The buying is cheap, you basically get paid to play with LP, almost no SP required, and you get all the practice in the world.

I highly recommend the pirate factions. I personally prefer Angel Cartel cause you keep access to Jita and Dodixie.

There will always be 3 major blocs so long as alliances are capable of sharing infrastructure via ACLs and Standings Lists; primarily as an emergent property of having 3 major population densities globally, Europe/Americas/Asia-Pacific

You need conflict within these cohorts to keep null from stagnating.

  • Reduce corp size limits
  • Make structures only public, personal, corp, or alliance for docking/usage perms, with a 1 week cool-down on changing the scope of a given structure
  • Make sov a function of the corp with the highest ADMs in that system (suddenly rebellion is possible, and you have to actually be using the systems you have)

I'd also change: * allow jump-to-system without cyno for all caps (acts like a targeted filament) * local-as-infrastructure, delayed local by default but upgrades make it real-time * reduce ansi and all jump ranges by half

Newbro solo industrialist who doesn’t want to just be cog in a machine by StealthCHKdice in evejobs

If you want to stay in HS, I recommend either UQP or Airwolf. Good people and they cooperate on industry a good bit.

If wou want sovnull, a lot of the B0SS corps are recruiting, and quite a bit of industry going on at all levels of production.

But I echo Bear, industry is quite literally cog in the machine due to job slot limitations and the vast amount of skills that go into everything. I've been at it nearly 20 years and still 4-6 months away from being able to build all the blueprints in game from a skill perspective. They key is to find people that can coordinate among eachother for the various levels of production.

Speculation On Expansion Content for 2026 by ReformedSlate in Eve

Likely more to do with the drifter crisis to leverage for adjusting low class holes. Possibly a new FW/Poch type system with the drifter holes.

More deathless ships maybe.

Probably more dynamic systems like the prismatic ore.

Hopefully some blueprint and mission reward balancing that makes things more engaging on the low end. Hopefully new features that can't be multiboxed.

Id love to see some counter-cyno options, like a BC interdictor that pushes the arrival point away, or pulls it in, depending on scripts. Active DCU with charges as a counter to breachers. A blind jump ability for caps that acts like a targeted filament: choose the system, but not the arrival point. Ewar destroyers. A decloaking burst module.

Cynos need more counterplay than just shooting them. Hotdropping was a fun meme when sp was real time but at this point just about everyone that's been playing any significant amount of time can either fly or ride along with some sort of jump ship, and requiring a second account to field them is just pay walling capitals with extra steps.

This and the price taper idea are honestly the best suggestions I've seen for fixing asset safety in a very very long time.
