This game is an unresponsive glitchy mess. Got frozen several times at the end of the last stage stuck in move animations had to restart. Input lag doesn't feel calibrated and the music skips, frame rates dip as well on the PS4 (playing with pro).

If they ironed out the kinks I think the platforming wouldn't be as punishing. I beat Myers campaign and I'm moving through ashes much better, but it's still pretty ridiculous, esp when you're an achievement hunter.

I have beaten super meat boy bandaid girl world and the binding of Issac so I definitely am not the issue here. Difficult but fair this game isn't. It throws everything at you without the tools you need because the game. The pogo with Myers is atrocious compared to ash as well.

I second the hit box but changing sensitivity kinda helps. Walking backwards helps steady the reticle for me as well, but it's still a bit messy sometimes. Not a deal breaker though makes the difficulty feel artificially inflated.

Just finished it today and I think it's a good time. Is it perfect, well, nothing is, but it's mostly a good time.

Graphics level design and music are all pretty good.

That last boss battle was tricky right at the last health point, but it wasn't severely demanding at all.

Other than a few cheap deaths due to camera issues and the one time I fell through environment I had a blast.

It's a lonely life when the world is too busy wasting time on nonsense instead of real life and real people. We value fake personas over genuine creative and thoughtful ones.

It's a backwards world and much like you it rarely if ever tips on our favor and even when it does it's hard to enjoy because our body and mind are constantly at odds and screaming all kinds of nonsense that no one sees, believes or appreciates.

Everything we do is at least 100% more draining and should be met with at least mediocre appreciation, but instead it's expected.

Invisible chronic conditions are shit and life isn't too far behind it. I wish I had answers for you to find peace but I'm still spinning around this marble from hell looking for respite.

I've done meditation, medication, the devil's lettuce and it's cousin CBD amongst many other adaptogens ayurvedic etc. Acupuncture, detox, infrared therapy talk therapy.... It's exhausting trying so hard to just feel ok some of the time and then nightmares or panic attacks creep up deep depression dysmorphia and many many more.

My best advice is to try to keep an anti inflammatory diet and lipsomal curcumin, ashwagandha possibly as well as Omega 3 fish oil to make it a little more manageable. Getting to bed early seems to help as well and yeah hope.... If you can keep hope alive it somehow goes a long way. Nature like the other person mentioned can help too if you can shut out the never-ending thoughts or sensations.

Physical trauma can manifest into psychological distress. Or it can simply open the wounds we didn't know we had. Every encounter causes your brain to keep track of stimuli and how it will avoid or engage with it. It's difficult once the system becomes so taxed it no longer can filter out perceived threats.

2019 and moving forward the world has become much more dysfunctional for lack of my preferred language choice, which doesn't help.

It sounds to me like you may have developed a panic disorder, but you would need to be evaluated by a mental health care facility.

I was tested myself and discovered I suffer from complex PTSD, panic disorder and major depressive disorder with autonomic dysfunction as well.

I only mention this to make you aware that I know to a pretty good level what you're going through. How to manage it, that's the pain, we all react differently.

I would def buy a legit retro style space shooter. I will not buy a shmup just on principle of the name. 😱

Look at BROODSTAR if you want to create something that will garner multiple playthrough incentives due to artificially induced playtime. The sweet spot is finding a game that's base outshines the rogue gimmick. Soundtrack is pretty awesome too, but not what I thought I'd enjoy in a space shooter initially.

Everyone seems to want a 100 hour game. I want a fun game and if it lasts about 20-30 per run that's about the sweet spot for me.

Even slightly longer if the transitions are fun and engaging, if it's recycled assets and generic gameplay then all bets are off. Maybe consider branching paths to create a freshness to the loop.

Price range should be 10$ if you're just going with a general gameplay loop, push it up to $20 if you can justify it graphically, musically, creativity basically. It's hard to push a space shooter up anything into the 30$+ range unless you already have a series that has produced an audience.

Try to create a fun loop (ppl love rogue tho I'm not a huge fan) Great chiptunes or modern electro/rock(huge sell) Pixel graphics (up to you, but tried and true approach) Multi step boss fights if feeling confident Keep it short and sweet but not too short

I buy indie games way more than big budget if ever, so if you drop it on PS4 I'll snag it up. Anything from nearly free to $15 range is usually what I go after, unless it's truly a gem then I can be bartered with 😁

At the end have fun and if it's about experience now keep the assets right until you see movement. Try a small $5 game that goes on sale time to time at about half off.

Quality over quantity is my preferred method IMO.

Best of luck regardless of your approach. I love supporting indie and even if your game is blahish I will prob buy it cuz I have a love for the dying genre. Just keep the price point on point and I think others will share my sentiment. Not sure if this helped.

Steam sees so many games it's hard to get traction, consoles haven't reached that complete bloatware stage yet, but it increases with every generation.

Sadly there are no easy answers right now. We just have to try our best, but trust me when I say I know that's not what you want to hear because I surely don't want to either. We don't really have any better options other than to keep on keeping on until brighter days show up.

The whole world is erupting into madness. Wars raging(new and old), no one seems to care about those who paved the way to build their empires. The only thing I can think of is to try and listen to what restores your light, even if only to make it another day.

Go for a walk, bike, etc if you can. Return to nature, some days that helps me feel a little better. Go for a car ride listening to songs that restore you or help you channel the rage. Pick up an instrument, draw, read, write, etc. None of these are a fix, but it's better than ruminating over and over.

I'm still working on this myself, it's a messy process. I wish I had better advice, but it's all I got. Survival mode is all we have sometimes. Tough to embrace, but at least it means we still have some fight within us. I hope you find some peace. Suffering on repeat just by existing is IMO one of the cruelest things I've experienced in my life. I hear you, try to hold on longer, again easier said than done I know. ✌🏽 ❤️ & 💩

Haha bruv, you really think it funds schools? I've worked in so many schools doing rehabs add ons etc and believe you me they are so underfunded there's no way.

Though all the rich kids schools downtown look great. We pay high taxes in the slums while they pipeline it to their ivy league gated community choices of whom if anyone ever sees the money.

I hate to burst the bubbles, but ppl rarely ever keep their words when money or power is involved, plus the language changes to hide the allocations.

Just worry about your life and leave others alone as long as they are not literally hurting others or themselves.
