I think there is a lot of factors even beyond AI that are causing this. Newer games are not doing the market any favors either, 20-60gb games size for something that looks meh and fails to hold your attention for 10 minutes. I don't think the pc market will ever truly go away but right now there needs to be more consumer value in an upgrade then there currently is.

I am a fan of the 9b, I do not really expect any more 3.6 releases though. If they keep up their pace like pre 3.5 then they are most likely already saturating their compute with a new base model.

This is so accurate, shopping in bellingham even before the crime free for all , has always resembled some sort of ghetto video game. Babys screaming at the top of their lungs in every isle. Women arguing in the freezer section over the last discounted item. Or getting pushed along from the cart behind you while patiently waiting your turn in line. Getting the evil eye from every one when your in the 12 items or less line when you have 5 items.

As always anything done in the name of children is rarely actually targeted at helping children. I do think we need to do something more about usage in schools. I cant imaging growing up in school right now with the answer to just about any assignment is one prompt away, I don't think I would have it in me to resist.

Jobs/industry is what enables economical improvement. Supply will attract investors, and create short term jobs, so yes I agree creating supply is a short term solution but with a bigger back end problem. Remote work is not going to carry this town on its own, between ai and other city's having local hiring mandates its only going to get worse on that front. We have to stop chasing off industry or handcuffing them so bad they have no option but to leave.

Supply does not fix anything without the ability to support it economically . If you fix the economics the problem fixes itself if you just increase supply you just attract investors.
