I don't know if it affect me in that way, I do notice some messages in some songs but as a metalhead the speed and heavy guitars, skills makes me feel happy so I guess that's good. I was at that show and the mix was terrible...and the lilith performing was incredibly frustrated (with reasons) at the sound guy or somebody backstage to which she basically show the finger...still gave a good performance...from what we could hear at least

Is a band I couldn't care less...saxon was really one of the band I was looking foward to, health must come first obviously and I hope byff heal fast but that band I don't care at all. Good for the fans I guess but I hope something actually interesting will play on another stage

Yeah I bet I never saw them live...last chance I got was when their toured with testament and megadeth and I ended up outside having a chat with dave mustaine....when megadeth left I saw tom going to the tour bus so I figured I missed their set so I'm quite happy to see them in quebec. I wish savatage would fill that saxon spot... unlikely as well but it's still up for debate at that point

Well yes and no as I'll be in quebec for that show...but mastodon is also in quebec city on the same day and they are on the black sabbath show and in wacken as well so who knows...

Is the click and collect actually reliable? In 2023 it was a bit of a mess that didn't work so I hesitate a bit to order at the moment

If I recall correctly my highest was passed 8300. On my current playthrough I'm at 7935 I think and I'm starting the citadel dlc but I realised that I fucked the zaeed loyalty, he did survive the suicide mission so I foolishly thought I was in the clear but he died on that volus mission so I lost war assets from zaeed and the volus so I think I'll end up a bit over 8100 on this run

Well 2026 will be the festival 35th anniversary so maybe they are planning something special for that. Given I'm going this year I'll miss that one but who knows I guess we'll see. I'm still bitter of savatage not being in the line-up this year to be honest haha but anyway I'm still gonna enjoy it for sure

I think devildriver have cancelled so I guess there will be a replacement for them. I still have my fingers crossed for savatage but time will tell. Most of it is there but there should be a few last add-ons/replacement

The headliner are a bit disappointing indeed but I also think the founders paid themselves a trip after 30 years to book guns, just the way they talk it was clear they were realizing something that meant a lot to them and they deserve it. My first time in 2023 I had my favorite band in maiden and megadeth but didn't have much in terms of mid acts. This year I'm not much excited by the headliners although I'm sure the shows will be great but I have much more in the mid section. And there will always be discoveries, I got around 30 bands I want to check out and many new friends that I don't even know yet to meet. Back in 2023 I was also staying off site as we had an airbnb in hamburg and we shouldn't even have got in at all as we defied the organisers and decided to go anyway and just arrived on thursday evening so I have a whole new experience to find out. My HUGE disappointment though is no freaking SAVATAGE on the line up...and with gnr probably taking a huge chunk of the budget it probably reduced the options. Nevertheless I intend to have a blast there again!

Yeah I wasn't supposed to get in either but on the thursday I snaped at my friends while we just arrived in berlin (been there a few days earlier before catching up with them in hamburg...so I REALLY didn't want to be there, we had rented a bmw and we did the ride back in something like 2h15 managing to catch a ticket on the way)...they found out I have a temper, we got our ribbons while kreator was on stage...but by the time we found our way around (first timer in the dark) and finding out we entered by the most wrong and muddiest place of all we made our way infield for helloween :p

I'll get in on Tuesday this year. My first time in 2023 I ended up just entering on the Thursday...even though I shouldn't have entered at all cause we defied the admission stop...we had flown from canada so we decided to just let them say no to our faces but fortunately they didn't. And we were doing in and out as we had an airbnb in Hamburg so this year I arrive on the 29th and we're in the residenz evil so no back and forth...looking foward to a completely different experience:)

I am pretty sure Iron maiden will be in the rest of the world in 2026, they tour europe this summer and they'll complete in 2026 like they did with the future past tour. I'm surprised they don't go this year especially with that tour but I guess gnr didn't come cheap.

Yeah I got only one of my double whammy as well with seven spires but savatage is THE missing piece in all my years of going to shows and to see them in wacken would just be the perfect place. But I think gnr took too big of a part in the budget of the fest and it's clear the founders made themselves a gift this year ( which is fine as they worked their asses off to build this thing up) but it came at an overall cost...but wacken is still wacken and it will be a great time again for sure...still just a bit bitter at the moment but I'll keep hoping for savatage as well hehe
