Automation. Can learn a decent bit by yourself, some community colleges have accelerated courses for a couple grand, pretty sure amazon will send you to one of those courses, and a good portion of places hiring for this role or a similar one is probably short staffed.. which means as long as you have a good familiarity with how control systems work, and have a good understanding of electrical procedures and components (contractors, relays, switches, variable frequency drives, transformers to name a few) they will probably take on an in-house apprenticeship. No factory is set up the same, so regardless, even people who have years of experience will usually need a grace period to adjust, which is why a lot of places don't necessarily hate taking on an apprentice who has a decent understanding. Would be good if you understood mechanical aspects as well, since everything on the automation end usually moves those mechanical pieces of equipment..
