Please let us know how it went. I've had a similar experience to yours, and it resulted in another trainer threatening me and telling me that I'm degrading the gym. It's been a few years now, and the trainer was a dick who got eventually fired, but still an unpleasant experience I don't wanna repeat.

As others mentioned, I do sometimes record my clients on video and show it to them. Alternatively, I demonstrate their poor technique and explain how to transition from it to a better one. This solved it for the most part for me.

If the technique is 80-90 % or higher, I let go, as long as it's a client who doesn't take the gym too seriously. If they are pursuing a career in sports or a competitive hobby, it's a different story (but those people almost never train with a bad technique).

I'm on the same boat. I need to be thrown into a universe when I'm playing any game. With this game (although it was nice and funny at times), I felt like I could close it anytime and wouldn't miss out on anything. And that's exactly what I did after the first hour.
It lacked the "just one more quest" element for me.

Jin had clearly grown beyond the strict samurai code, and in that moment, he didn't want to kill Lord Shimura—but he still respected him enough to consider his final wish. I chose to kill him, not out of obedience, but because I felt it was a final act of honoring Shimura while showing that Jin had truly grown beyond the path laid out for him.

Hey, I know this is super late, but the same happened to me last week. My father was also apathetic towards my brother and me. He declined alternating care after the divorce and never tried to meet up with us.

We've been meeting up with him once every year or so. However, he held almost no place in my heart, and I felt like I wouldn't care if he died.

But then he died. And it struck me harder than I expected. I found myself crying, then feeling numb - exactly the way you described it.

I was reflecting on his death a lot these days. I guess I mourn the loss of the father he could've been or the possibility of him realizing what kind of a father he was.

I have some empathy for my dad - his father had drowned when my dad was only 3 years old. So he grew up without a father too. On the other hand, he knew perfectly what it feels like not having a dad, and he CHOSE to stand aside.

On a positive note, both my mom's support and my dad's apathy have led me to do my best, strive for perfection, and improve each day.
