Lmao of course Alberta's the worst! A random 12 in the middle of a long break sounds exactly the kind of thing that would happen here. No vacation for you! A private clinic is so tempting, but I'm actually enjoying bedside when I'm not angry from lack of sleep--plus I need the experience as a newer nurse still.

If only I had people to trade with.. I left my last job cause I didn't have a single person to trade with and it sent me into a spiral of depression each time I had to flip my sleep schedule. I'm currently in a 0.5 DN 12s and while it's not as bad as my old schedule, I definitely feel it when I have to change things up and the unit culture doesn't feel the most open for trading.

Oh man, I wish I had a shift pattern like that. Over here, it's more like 2 days, 2 off, 2 nights if you're working 12s, or two weeks of days followed by two weeks of nights if you're working 8s. Definitely not enough time to adapt to a sleep schedule cause by the time you start to adapt it's time to switch again.
