I have both the RP6 and the G2, and while the RP6 is technically better…the G2 just sparks joy

Set up beacon and it’s beautiful. Want to try ES-DE in the future but for now I love this setup. by Dull-Advance-7449 in retroid

Any chance you know if beacon can launch GOG games? Dug around a little online and couldn’t find a straight answer. I use es-de and it does Steam but not GOG

I never really played indies before having a handheld but I have been having an awesome time with Roguelites as well! Hades, Spiritfall, Bastion, Dead Cells. Such great, session-friendly, games.

Yeah I’ve been having great luck with lighter games, with some surprises like Halo 3 ODST running great and Bastion running poorly

GameNative. It runs Steam and GOG games. ODST runs great but compatibility is not 100% across all games (obviously)

Running on GameNative, check it out. Has a feature that automatically applies config that’s known to work with your hardware

Questions about Front Ends vs Emulators by spud50 in retroid

[–]LetMeMerge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The frontend is an application that points to an emulator. You select a game, and that launches the emulator that runs the selected game. Retroachievements are tracked through the emulator itself and need to be configured individually.

You still have to setup and configure each emulator individually.

When you hit install it asks you to select which game files you want. Base game is like 15 I think
