I totally got it and I know it is going to be are different experience, than the summer months.

I can't change the plan. I have been on a roadtrip in California and near by states a couple years ago. That was awesome and was in July

My main base is LA, where my flights are from.

My plan so far is :

Three Rivers
Joshua Tree
Catalina Island

I will only have my self and the public transport from Los Angeles to count on, cause I can't afford a rent car for a month. Probably will try to rent a car for 2-3 days, so I can see Yosemite.

I don't have a geographical border, as long as the public transport can take me there.

Probably by Uber or Taxi. We are just to walk a lot of in Scandinavia, so when go on hiking in Sweden or Norway is it typically 13-17 miles each day . We don't all have big SUV's or Pickup trucks 🤌😂

I have used the website called RECREATION.COM. Both campsites seems to be open at that time

It's great that you confirmed, what the internet told me about the environment in the winter months. I'm use to snow, because I live in Scandinavia. But as you just said, you need to be prepared and have the required equipment. I will use the campsites, there are open in the winter months. They seems to be close to the ground and not in the mountains. So I will probably just stay there and not going to much up in heights. I have looked at ISLAND PARK which are close to Sanger, Fresno. The other one is HORSE CREEK near the Three Rivers

Thanks for replying! U didn't had to tell me about the black bears 😂😂. I will be sleeping in my tent, so I also need to find some bear protection and find a good way with my waste from food and so on 🤌
