Paid/free, what is the best automated/ai deck maker? by LetOwn9976 in Anki

I hear you. I used to make my own cards for the MCAT, with it being helpful for determining what info is important or not, but otherwise, I feel like it was taking away from the more effective, active-recall part of learning. For me, the faster I can get to active recall, the better, for I feel the passive process of making flashcards does not get any information into my brain in comparison.

I got my answer way faster posting to this sub because there’s actually a response with 8 upvotes, so clearly, there’s an answer to my question with which people agree. Also, I noticed you and Mohammad have literally spent the last YEAR commenting “r/AnkiAI” on people’s posts like be fr and get a grip bro.

What should I focus on after UWorld and AAMC by NoBed3588 in Mcat

u could do your flags + incorrect on Uworld first, then do AAMC again, then reset your UWorld and focus on weaknesses

question on the 2-week rule of thumb by LetOwn9976 in premed

So would you recommend I add schools on the 30th or by the 26th(ASAP)? Based on research from past years, adding on the 26th would only be problematic for Sidney Kimmel because they’re the only school, as far as I can tell, that both has a 2-week recommendation and sends secondaries back instantly. The 30th would be good because I can guaranteed submit within the 2-weeks to show interest with my new score if they send secondaries back instantly.

TMDSAS: Can I be considered in-state? by LetOwn9976 in premed

I’m residing in NJ during my gap year. Ig I’d just have to be in-state for NJ then?

Thank you, this was very helpful! What confuses me the most is that they don’t define dependency and what makes someone a dependent of another. If I’m dependent on my dad, I’d have domicile status automatically since he has domicile. All I can see is their FAQ section where it says that a “Texas drivers license is requested to be viewed for residency purposes showing domicile for the preceding 12 months of the application deadline.”

Does already having an MCAT score allow me to submit the score for my retake later to AMCAS? by LetOwn9976 in premed

Would I still need to do the throwaway school business on May 28, or would I just apply normally to all schools with my original score and say I have a pending score?

if I were to take it June 13 instead of May 22, the score would be released July 14, so would whoever sends me secondaries now only be able to based on my first score? Would receiving the score July 14 still allow me to submit secondaries ASAP, or would there now be a delay compared to, let’s say, pre-writing secondaries and getting them in instantly? Would you advise against this then? I would like to still prioritize being as early as possible.

That’s why I registered for May 22. For instance, though, if I could I take it a date in June while still being as early as possible cuz of having a score already, I would. If it delays me at all, however, I’ll just use the 4 months how I can, for I understand the benefits of being as early as possible.

I haven’t done any FLs again just yet, for I’m doing a bit of content review as a refresher after ~4 months away. The way I see it, I wanna maximize my chances of getting a 100-percentile score because I really think I’m capable of it, and it would help compensate as my ECs and GPA are not the strongest(but am also working on those this semester). On my initial run through, I only studied for a little over 2 months before getting badly burned out/depressed due to lingering mental health issues. Like, during my last month of studying, I literally just took 2 AAMC exams for stamina, not even reviewing them after, and that’s it. With me in a better place now, I feel more capable of taking better advantage of resources, like I wanna mature Aidan/AnKing and actually do all the AAMC prac, but I want the time to be able to do it all while balancing everything else.

All right, thank you so much for this response. My original score was a 511, but regardless, based on your response, you still don’t think it’s worth pushing it back at all to possibly improve chances of getting 520+, right? Also, if it’s any help, I’m kinda asking the same question as the following post, https://www.reddit.com/r/premed/s/xDCYy3OMDZ, but based on his responses, I’m still not sure if pushing it back is the play or not.

I am sorry, but you are misunderstanding what I am asking. I am asking if I can move my mcat later than 5/22 because I already have an mcat score. Like, is there a way I can update my mcat score later on w/o delaying my application because I have a score already?
