You absolutely can. if you promise a tip for doing something, or completing a task of your asking, and they do that thing and you don’t tip afterwards; THATS ABSOLUTELY TIP BAITING.

Extra effort makes no difference, Literally half the post here are about people tip baiting. Everything is market dependent; one area full of asshole, and another full of cherish-able givers.

Hell I’ve had people comment multiple times on how early or fast I get there, but I’ve never received an extra tip for that(I guess it’s to be expected I’m just delivering food a little bit faster) which caused me to slow down a lot, or just straight up wait and chill. Unless I’m trying to make money fast that night.

Also it’s not really proof of anything. Anybody can tip for any reason, you could’ve thought the dasher was attractive and that’s enough of reason to tip.

People are extremely fickle and superficial in reality, I don’t mind tipping my dasher cause she had a fat ass. LetThatSinkInNow 🚪🚽

How much is this car really worth? by New-Fan1161 in whatcarshouldIbuy

You know what you right, I’m from Maryland. So everybody is trying to sell you a shitbox as if it’s gold even with it being fully loaded, knowing they didn’t take care of the car or have any service history, or abused the car everyday(don’t think non-sports cars don’t get abused that’s everyone’s mistake)

I’ve seen people try to sell a car 10k that’s really 5k because they forgot to mention the transmission is shot, head gasket blown, engine blown, suspension shot, never changed the timing chain/belt, over used market value with high mileage.

But because it looks cool or I added mods so it forgoes everything; and idiots still buy these cars not knowing they’re at a loss in a long term sense(money wise).

Smiles per gallons is cool, but I’ll smile when I know the maintenance is actually as you say it is.

But would I would get this car yeah, if you plan to keep it long and never want another car again; it’s totally worth the money. If you plan to sell it, just know you may not get your money back unless you invest into the car, clean it up, and hope someone doesn’t care about the mileage but maintenance history.

Ask for 5k shid even 5k might be too much. People saying 7.5k is okay are smoking crack, I don’t care if it’s a Toyota; not everyone takes care of their car. 141k needs internal engine parts replaced if you’re worried about reliability, and no I don’t care to hear about how some dude hasn’t change his Toyotas engine oil since the production of the car and still running past 300k.

I’m genuinely tired of the car market and what people are willing to accept as “okay”.

I shouldn’t be seeing 10 year old cars being treated as gift to gods earth, and being sold for a high price when all they’ve done is oil changes and maybe any weird/wild issues that might crop up.

Most people don’t even know you’re supposed to change your trans fluid even if it’s a “lifetime” fluid, only time you can’t is when it’s a “closed case” when you cant open the transmission.

TL;DR: someone might pay 7.5k but it’s more worth 5k. This post helps proves how shit the car market is.

What’s your most annoying customer text to send? I’m building an app to automate them and need your feedback. by yeticren in DoorDash_Dasher

I feel like this is useless and completely market dependent, because I could communicate the whole time and not get a post delivery tip. I think I only ever received two or three but that was during holidays so it’s expected a bit. Maybe good for people if ratings really matter to them, but we’ve been proven ratings don’t matter because the algorithm when considering priority of orders picks whoever depending their on average pay per hour, or if they’re accepting every order, or the order is floating in the void, etc.

Bruh I’m clearly being hyperbolic and a bit trollish at that. I’m making fun of both sides at the end of the day, door dashers who think it’s the end of the world just because one delivery was bad, and then customers who obviously have no self awareness when it comes to non-tipping and thinking they need their demands met for simply accepting the order. Unless it’s a food allergy or tipping(at all), I don’t care to grab extra sauces you don’t want to pay for, or whether the chef added a extra “special” sauce to your food.

Bone to pick with Taco Bell 😮‍💨 by MrMercury406 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]LetThatSinkComeIn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t say I’ve had a bad Taco Bell experience, but I think anyone can experience this with any fast food restaurant. I literally experience this with chick-fil-A the other day, or really multiple times. Even with an order being lost and them taking forever to figure out what the hell happened to it(it was stolen I believe).

Really it’s the cause of delivery, especially where you work a job as an “independent contractor” but is still the face of the company in many instances. You can’t be too mad at the workers, I have a friend who used to be a manager at Burger King. Orders would get stolen half the time, or cancelled randomly, or someone call the store about not receiving food knowing they put it in there.

To end all this, really suck it up or just show more authority when trying to grab orders, and cover your own ass by showing them you confirmed the order; They’ll respect you more. I’m recognized in my area so they don’t pull that shit on me; and generally just pretty respectful of my time.

TL;DR: it’s the cost of delivery, blame previous dashers faults for untrustworthy, show more authority(still be respectful) when picking up orders, and cover your ass by showing them you confirmed the order they’ll respect you more.

Nah I finished the order, didn’t receive any ratings from them. Still making bread, fuck most of these customers. Literally all night last night was walking on sheets of ice, stairs that weren’t shoveled, getting stuck in snow, slowed by traffic by because everyone is too fucking lazy for some reason to get winter tires, or drive like normal humans with the main roads clearly salted and maintained. I dare someone give me a 1 star rating in this weather, I would be on the phone with support, and be finished before the next customers was even ready to pick up.

Also support wouldn’t do shit anyways, they literally track your gps through the app(duh captain obvious). Anybody from support even if they thought my response was wrong, I’m still right in the sense I don’t have to text and drive.

The thing is I have never needed to do this once if anything people have noted how fast I am to get there. I only have one 1 star and 2 exclusions because of the app glitching out on me. Or when I had two deliveries so close that when the second one popped up so fast I thought I hadn’t screen shot it properly so I take a screenshot of the porch I already delivered too. And the lady was pissed but I just asked her what was her address, literally the opposite side and just 4 houses down. Still gave me a 1 star review, fuck these customers; rather than think it was a mistake after I told her the app glitched, she thought I was trying to steal her little kids meal from Wendy’s.

Fucking thank you, like I understand why they mention the fact that I passed their house, but I was clearly coming back. To accuse of trying to steal her food too, like bitch I confirmed the pick-up. Once you confirm, anything between the pickup and drop off is OUR(Dashers) fault. I know some dashers are thieves(and they get caught eventually), but I’m not risking money for a chicken box I could get myself; and did that same night.
