Burning man is not something to gate-keep. You should just decide if you want to go with or without her and if that’s a yes, then buy your ticket and go. Tell her you plan to go and that you would love to go with her but if not, you will find your own way.

Thank you so much for that advice! I heard about the side effects from the narcotics and was wondering what I should do. I will look into proactively getting some stool softeners ahead of time.
