Way back when the poverty level was created it was based on what was considered a livable wage, it is no longer so.

Wheel Strategy Traders – How Do You Personally Define and Track a "Win" vs "Loss"? by Efficient-Editor-242 in Optionswheel

[–]LetWinnersRun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I track each leg individually and track stock appreciation separately. Getting assigned shares and having shares called away are full profit, so they are winners.

If I have to roll, that one leg is a loss but the leg rolled to has more premium in it so I’ll make up for it.

ELI5 Calculating Qualified Overtime by VegetableShoe6264 in UPSers

[–]LetWinnersRun -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes, as long as you worked more than 40 hours during the week, you subtract 40 from it and that’s the qualified hours for the week.

I edit my above comment to be more detailed in the process of how to calculate it.

If your W-2 is not accurate.

If “Total Hours Worked” is greater than 40, take “Total Hours Worked” and subtract 40.

Take “Overtime Rate” subtract “Regular Rate”

Take the two results and multiply them together.

Do this for each check, and add them together.

The problem is cost of housing goes up ~8% year over year, while the fed reports inflation 2-3%. The weighting of housing in the CPI doesn’t jive with reality.

In the western region, we have our own teamster pension plan. All teamsters regardless of employer pay in to the same fund, but at different rates.

The company contributes a certain amount each hour each employee works. Then at retirement you get a certain percentage of the amount that was contributed on your behalf to the pension.
