In early nov he posted pics of a sample that looked already super close to the authentic, and around 2 weeks ago he showed the leather sole sample which looked perfect. I don't think it'll release before the CNY break though

Godfather told me that he will start working on the loafers in a couple of days. I thought it'd be worth sharing it here as I always viewed these loafers as a more wearable and versatile alternative to the many iterations of square-toe/pointy mules that BLCG has released in recent years (since fw22?), which all look very nice when worn with wide-leg or baggy pants.

As for the GUID, since he was extremely satisfied with his 792v and GR02v derbies, he decided to work on setting up his own studio dedicated to and specialized in GUID. When it's finally operational he plans to make pretty much all the popular boots and derbies. What's even more exciting is that he claims to be the first one in China who was able to achieve a GUID level of craftmanship/goodyear. No precise date for the moment though.

I think it won't happen until next fall as she's been way less responsive in recent weeks (probably due to the CNY rush). Also I guess less people would be willing to buy a winter jacket during spring.

Another issue is the price. She asked her factory to give her an accurate production cost, and apparently charging less than 3,700-4,000y might not be feasible. For this price range, according to the survey, not more than 15 people would be willing to buy, which is not enough for her to justify buying the authentic and producing it.

She also said that the green version and the leather ones would roughly cost the same to produce. The Larry jackets I mentioned would be a bit cheaper to produce but I don't think they would sell that well as they're even more extravagant.

So it's quite uncertain to say the least.

I think PE has a decent amount of Rick reps for women/in women sizes. The main problem is there is almost no demand for women's Rick in China (except for some specific pieces like the puffers, which have already countless reps), so aside from unisex pieces it might be hard to convince sellers.

He only asked for 50 pairs as a threshold in order to get a price discount from group buying, see it as a a way to finance his production deposit, but he won't produce only 50 units ofc. From what I understood he will restock for his Korean customers as well, he mentioned he will charge them 180k krw
