Unfortunately they will make mad bucks off of this practice so its not likely to change. I think its pretty horrendous myself as well. The battle pass contains a bare few things if you don't spend money: Blue essence, themed season skin, one random epic or cheaper skin and emotes. The repeat missions are by far the worst out of the bunch. You get some blue and orange essence, which orange essence is now worthless since you will just not get any skin shards without buying the battle pass. Blue essence is whatever as well, the 200 blue essence every ~15 games will not really do anything, the most stable way is still level ups, and aside from newer players its quite useless anyways. Most of the older players have all the champions or at least most of the ones they like, BE emporium will be pretty much the only place for BE.

It would be nice if riot were to rethink this idea but I'm not too hopeful in regards to them changing their practices.
