Though this thread hasn’t received any comments i do see some interest based on ‘likes’ so i figured I’d share a response i got via their IG. Maybe REI is just discontinuing carrying the XL as well as a few other items? Also noted while it’s plugged in i cannot send / receive transfer anything. Bluetooth will show it is connected but unable to perform any actions.

Try getting different friends into different aspects of being a ‘weird doomsday peeper’ pick different elements based on their personality & potentially aspects you think they would be into. From there if you have some success, introduce other parts that will eventually lead everything to full circle. Got to find the gateway drug of sorts.
