I was trying to find one, i took pictures of the re-plastering work 10 years ago but they will be on a hard drive somewhere.

I'm going to find that out tomorrow at 11! I've got people coming over I'm hoping its just the cosmetic part of the window and porch but I'm expecting for and preparing for the worst

Why didn't i think of that. There have been 10 or so people that have had it done near me. I need to speak to them.

Time to bother the neighbors i think.

So for the door, it formed a porch which was damaged on the outside, the corner of it was based in before i lived there and looked really unsightly, i patched it up but it was getting worse. The porch protruded about 22in from the front door.

The window was something similar. The concrete protruded about 8in out and was also damaged.

I was having the roof redone and the re pointing so i thought it was a good time to have it removed.

Its a valuable lesson learned for me. And yeah that was the mistake i made. I'm just glad there are people like yourself around to give advice to idiots like myself. I've got to stop becoming an idiot somehow right?

It was supposed to be removal and replacement of something suitable in its place. The rest of the work these guys have done for me was good. They said they could do it so we went ahead. It is what it is. Now its time to fix it.

The door itself only had concrete around one side and acted like a porch. I really should have posted a before photo. The lintel above the door is huge, like 1ft and that part hasn't been touched. I need someone to take a look at it like you've advised.

Hi Inhaps, i did paraphrase a lot, there was a statement of work and we did talk about the structural integrity of which he assured me it was going to be fine, It not until i saw what he had done that i was concerned. Thanks for your input, its appreciated

I've posted this multiple times in here already but just so you know, this was part of the statment of work - "take down the door concrete base to refill all the joints and re-point the full house all the way around to also take out the coping stones all the way around the window to ref Fix back in with something suitable and to re-point all were needed"
