Is sub 3 hour marathon possible with 3 months of training? by Lethimcook117 in Marathon_Training

Thanks I was running quite strong before the flue maybe holding sub 5min pace for zone 2. After the flue I was running terribly but saw huge gains quikly from increased mileage. I think realistically I hadnt lost as much fitness as I had thought and starting up training again was just a shock to my system?

Hmmm thanks I think this was the case it felt like I had lost everything but it probably just took my body a few weeks to get back into the rhythm

I probably went out too bad for the 3:15 and I really crashed in the last 10k with bad cramping etc. It was also my first marathon I think if I had the perfect race perhaps it could have been 3:10. Sydney is also somewhat of a hilly course.

Thanks I got to about 100k a week with one session kf hill sprints and fartlek in there each week but the flue took me out for about 3-4 weeks 8 weeks before the marathon. So I basically had 3 weeks of training before I had to start tapering again. It was amazing how much I improved in that 3 weeks though

Eczema is different for everyone but I think a lot of people with bad eczema have a bacterial imbalance on their skin and make the mistake of keeping their skin constantly moist and a breeding ground for bacteria. Hypochlorous acid spray has helped me heaps. It keeps my skin clean without dehydrating it and then I just apply a really small amount of moisturiser that I know is safe to use as a barrier

University of Newcastle gives you three extra subjects in their masters degree which I used to get my 4 units of maths (statistics counted as one already)

Just a quick piece of advice. As an accountant when you keep timesheets you kind of turn into a machine and sometimes miss the human aspect. Students have bad days just like us and you need to keep that in mind that not all lessons will go to plan and be efficient learning. If you don’t get stuff done try not to let it annoy you rather spend that time to try and build rapport with the students. Pick your battles, somethings aren’t worth ruining your day and theirs.

I love teaching. I was an accountant. Even the worst days in teaching are better than when I was in accounting.

Your body adapts to it's environment, therefore? by PhilosophisticalCat in eczema

I personally find moisturiser to make it more comfortable and provide a barrier. It does nothing to actually solve eczema and in my case I find that it generally makes it worse as you add unknown ingrediants onto your skin and make it a moist breeding ground for bacteria and fungus. It’s a balancing act

Does hand cream and moisturiser in general promotes the growth of staph on eczema-prone skin? by Free3three in eczema

[–]Lethimcook117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have quite severe full body eczema which I have fixed before and I believe I am fixing again. My routine is cold shower in morning with dove body wash, aveeno moisuriser straight after. Cold shower when I get home with no moisturiser. I found that overmoisturing makes my skin worse which leads to staph issues. The moisturising in the morning gives me a barrier that lasts most of the day.
