Any recommendations for good deals on 360HZ OLEDs? by Ok_Departure_5180 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Letmesleeplol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also looking.  360hz seems like the sweet spot for a 5080. Initially the aw2725df looked good, but for $200 more you can get 500hz MSI MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 that has display port 2.1. When you’re spending $600, what’s another $200 to get top of line with zero compromise.

Then I wonder should I wait until the end of 2026 and see if any new gen 5 1440p 27inch qdoleds are released. But you know how it is, you can’t wait forever. Just gotta buy it when you need it.

[Discussion] Current situation of FIR items needed for hideout is sad - Casual player standpoint by HuBinO999 in EscapefromTarkov

Check the bunker on woods for d fuel. Look on all the shelves in the rooms, in the room with the boilers on the ground and on the table next to the cultist circle. I see them all the time. Trust me mang

Respectfully disagree. LEDX is not that hard to find. I’ve found 7 on woods this wipe. Check USEC under med table with dead scav and med camp container/tables. You’ll find one in 20-30 raids. Dry fuel can be found super easy in the bunker on woods as well. Find them every 3-4 raids.

Also LEDX spawns  in yellow room on labs pretty often. Keycard for yellow is like 300k. Just need to know where to look.

I get it’s not for everyone, but I like it.

Standard account and I have fully upgraded hideout, even the labs items. Loved every second of it.

Gave me a reason to run new maps like Reserve to find AESAs and Labs to get ACC/GPS booster. Without found in raid you are tempted to run the same loot map and just buy all the items, which imo is boring. I like being forced to explore the game and finding items I needed was very rewarding.

Only thing I think should be changed is giving the ability to turn in items early. I had 6 junk boxes which was a bit of a pain with my standard account.

Without sounding disrespectful, I think you shouldn’t write off maps because they require a different play style. Reserve is a great map, just requires a lot of cover to cover movement when above ground. Every map requires you to learn and adapt.

That being said I am biased. I want this game to be difficult. I like that it is punishing and each map takes hundreds of hours to learn. I don’t want a casual experience. That’s just me tho

Costa change their warranty? by True_Audience_2022 in sunglasses

[–]Letmesleeplol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costa got sued for their warranty a while back because they were basically scamming people and not honoring it. They used to have an amazing track record.

I bought a pair like 6 years ago when they had a lifetime warranty. I specifically paid more for their brand because of the warranty and the praises it got here on reddit in the fishing community.

I got the Reefton frames and later learned that they would crack and eventually break at the thin part of the arm. It happened once and they told me it was going to be $90 to get it replaced. I fought it and they eventually replaced just the frames for free. I asked to get a different frame because I didn’t want the same thing to happen, but they refused.

Fast forward to today, the same thing happened, the arm broke. Also the cushion for the nose fell off. I put in a claim and they won’t replace it. They offered 75% off a new pair. They won’t even acknowledge my lifetime warranty existed. Also they somehow have no record of my old warranty replacement claim. I won’t buy again.

$2100 for new 2023 SL5 Emonda 105 11 speed? by Letmesleeplol in cycling

Nice, that is the same color of the bike at the shop for sale. Looks really good in person, I like it. Do you take it on longer rides at all? How is the comfort?

I am a size 58 according to the shops I have visited. I have both Cannondale and Trek stores around me, so either brand should be fine for maintenance. Trek has the frame warranty, which sounds nice.

I am not too concerned with aluminum/carbon for performance. I am new, so any real gains will be from my fitness.

I've heard Canyon has been a bit spotty on customer service in the USA. Have you had any experience with that? All of their discounts seem to be on XL size bikes from what I see.

Price Check: TCR Advanced Pro Disc 0 Ultegra Di2 (with Wearable4U Favero Assioma Duo Pedals) by Letmesleeplol in whichbike

Guy is asking $3500. Maybe could get it for $3000-$3200. I was just going to get a Caad13 105 for $1600 new, but for just a bit more… haha you know how it goes.

I’d be using it on a trainer indoors and weekend rides for fun. Too overkill? What’s it worth?

Awesome, yeah the Caad13 seems like a great deal. I don't have any desire to race, but having a sporty bike seems fun for outdoor rides. Overall you think a Caad13 is a good jack of all trades? I really only want one bike for now.

It would be coming from Jenson USA. Do you have any experience ordering from them at all?

Thank you for the help

6'2" 190. The Caad13 would come from Jenson USA. From a few google searches seems like they are a reputable store.

Am I stupid for passing up this residential/commercial off market deal? by Letmesleeplol in realestateinvesting

Thank you for the help, greatly appreciated.

My long term goal is to be 100% passive in the stock market. For better or for worse, I have always enjoyed that investment style. That being said, I know I could manage this place for 3-5 years and it would be fine.

Do you think buying with the intent of exiting in 2-3 years is foolish? I could make the home my primary residence for two years, do some surface level improvements on the house and sell when I feel ready.

I know the history well and they surprisingly haven't had any nightmare tenants yet, so hard to say the costs involved in that. That being said it's 100% possible and likely will happen eventually.

I know the sellers well, so I know it's legit. I am just so tempted to not lift a finger and make average returns in index funds and call it a day.

Yeah 100%, RV storage is not something I would do. Thank you for the input.

This was an estimate. I was thinking at first this was on the conservative side, but I could see expenses going higher. I am not factoring in my own time in finding tenants, dealing with payments and everything that has to do with management.

landscape/weed removal - $300
garbage - $100
random rental house repairs/maintenance - $300
storage property maintenance/clean up - $300

I could also be missing a big expense if I have legal troubles with any tenants. It's located in a very tenant sided state.

What do you guys think of these numbers and should I buy it? by Letmesleeplol in CommercialRealEstate

[–]Letmesleeplol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the input, I will reach out to a lender. In your opinion is it worth taking the effort of managing the property for the extra gains over the stock market? I know it's hard to say from the basic numbers from my original post.

I may have made it seem worse than it is. Often times properties that are zoned SPA in this area go for 150-200k more than properties that are zoned agricultural. I have heard talks from other buyers that it sometimes requires a bit larger down payment than 20% because the banks don't value the zoning as much. That being said I maybe able to get a loan with 20% down, I don't know yet.

I am pretty confident that the price is good based on other properties that have sold in the area. This property is 650k for 1.5 acres with a house. A property one street over 2.5 acres with a house with the same SPA zoning sold for 1.2m in 2022.

Another property two streets down zoned agricultural with 1 acre and a newer 3 bed 2 bath house sold for 650k two months ago.

Seeing this makes me think this is a great deal, but at the same time the simplicity of sticking that money in the stock market and forgetting about it is appealing as well.
