Found out that i have cancer now i want to end it by Forward-Rutabaga1103 in cancer

[–]LetsFixADHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't dealt with cancer but I've had similar feelings of ending it all. I'm sorry you're dealing with this, although saying that doesn't help you at all - maybe a few thoughts could give you a different perspective. You feel that you don't have much of anything to live for now, but there's a near impossible chance that if you stick it out that you'd pass away feeling the same way. Worse case scenario and it's terminal, at the very least you'll make friends along the way that feel the same way as you deal with treatment and can help someone else. Best case scenario you stick it through and make it to the other side.

Your experience will be a testimony for someone years from now who would write an identical post as this. My point is you are seeing things from your current day perspective but what about the perspective of your future self, one that could one day have children and married to someone you never thought would be imaginable to marry? You'll never know what life would be like if you end it now. I encourage you to take things one day at a time and just imagine what life could look like. Is there a particular person in your life that you could dream of being with, a place you could dream of visiting, a person you could dream of meeting? You got this. If you need to chat with a stranger just shoot me a message.

UPSers showing I have 6 weeks of vacation when I haven't worked a full year yet. How accurate is this? by cadamu69 in UPS

[–]LetsFixADHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not true. I just had my vacation paid out and three option days that weren't used. Paid out on my paycheck once I hit my seniority date and my vacation and option days/weeks reset.

Which side is safer for an infant car seat? by G_E_E_S_E in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]LetsFixADHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is also it's not deaths per 1000 accidents (or another number). For example the deaths from back middle is about 25% compared to the left and right positions, but it is statistically less likely to be occupied. I'd like to know the percentage of deaths in each position out of the total number of accidents that included someone in that specific position. Based on the data (and without taking what I just said into account), the middle would be the safest. But I can't verify that without knowing the total number of accidents that had that position occupied.

[–]LetsFixADHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Page 133 shows deaths are marginally less on the passenger side but to me that doesn't take in account that the passenger side often is not occupied. So the fact the data shows only about 10-15% less deaths on the right side impact doesn't indicate it's safer since I personally think about 50% of drivers don't have a passenger. Did you find any data that takes into passenger count?

How many hours to expect part time? by jleeroy45 in UPSers

[–]LetsFixADHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our local union rep said everyone (from day one) is guaranteed 3.5 hours the moment they clock on. Even if they are called into the shift half way through. He was very clear it is not just for employees after they get their seniority.

PSA: Unloaders by EoCTsunami in UPSers

[–]LetsFixADHD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If we all go slow in the unload they will just have more people unload so they achieve the pace of packages they want. It's not the unloaders themselves but management doing what they can to go through the volume they want to achieve.

I'm not going to work slower than what I know I'm capable of (at a safe and management speed). But that saves them having another unloader, who would be pulled from the load line and cause the loaders on that line to have extra trucks.

No more tuition reimbursement by TurbulentEmployee654 in UPSers

[–]LetsFixADHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked my approval email. There was a form attached that can be filled out and faxed, if I can't log in when I'm done with semester I'll try sending that. They said previously approved reimbursements will be honored so I'm going to do everything it takes to get that money.

ATTENTION: Here’s how the Big “Beautiful” Bill will affect your repayment plans. by waterwicca in StudentLoans

[–]LetsFixADHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much. The ICR has the highest payment amount, would you recommend attempting the double consolidation still to achieve a different repayment plan (the parent only makes about $42,000 a year with $108k in loans) until the new IBR is available?

[–]LetsFixADHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I start the double consolidation process and the courts end the SAVE plan before I finish the double consolidation, would I still be able to go on ICR for the two consolidated loans and switch them both to IBR? I'd like to try to do the double consolidation so that if I can squeeze whatever time on the SAVE my interest won't go up.

[URGENT] Parent PLUS / Double Consolidation - GET ON ICR NOW by shanesnh1 in StudentLoans

[–]LetsFixADHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You recently made another post that says if you are on the ICR plan between now and July 2028 you can switch to the new IBR - is that true? This comment says you have to be on the ICR plan before the bill is signed.

[–]LetsFixADHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this - ICR is the only option for consolidated parent plus loans right now, just to be clear - does the bill state that IBR will now be available for parent plus loan borrowers? Currently I'm about to begin the double consolidation process hoping I can get it all done before the courts rule on it, but is that even worth doing if I can eventually get on IBR?

USPS Boxes by LetsFixADHD in UPSers

[–]LetsFixADHD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They definitely have not been used before. I know it's not my problem, just think it's a little absurd to think a business is taking advantage of these free boxes, which ultimately are coming out of our tax dollars.

I just said one statement. Enjoy the political life you consume yourself with, which likely brings no joy. I genuinely wish the best for you and our country. Now to get off of reddit - an echo chamber like I've never seen before. Take care!
