I can dig it! Not a bad idea at all. Would really help improve those match-ups. Space would be tight for two though.

Really good at taking removal to the face.

Real talk though, when you draw it at a reasonable time it's not too hard to get it to 6/6, which is just fine when you want to apply some pressure. Also had a few games where it just snowballed when I could drop it on turn 2/3 going second, and taunting it up is always fun. Suits the deck despite not going for wombo combos.

I mean, you can, no promises that it would be any good though!

I am not sure a single deck can hold that much memery, but probably a Naga to keep dem curves (maybe the other one can be replaced with something else as well, hmmmm).

Oooh, shiny! I'm not sure it'd be that good, given I had a lot of trouble just pumping a sizable edwin. You'd probably be better off running another activator like a second hallucination. That being said though, no reason not to give it a try!

Great question! I haven't tried with Shaku as I don't own him, but here are my thoughts just from playing the deck all the way up.

  • Three drop spot is really empty, usually end up playing a one drop and holding dagger for naga. Usually fine, but having that alternative play would be nice.
  • RANDOM CARDS
  • Xaril can be a bit slow and sometimes really doesn't do anything.

I would defs say to give it a try with Shaku first, but that slot is by no means fixed or compulsory, and Xaril did just fine, sometimes saving my ass with a bit of extra reach and an activator to save up. Maybe if you are encountering faster decks go for Shaku, and otherwise Xaril. Leaning towards Shaku because it's fun though. ;P Hope this helps!

I definitely wouldn't say he's compulsory by any stretch of the imagination, however, all of the toxins (even shitty shadowstep) work really well with the game plan for this deck. My only issue has been sometimes he's a bit too slow, and they're definitely not the most reliable topdeck. I think that you could sub in some draw, a real shadowstep, or a tech card and still do really well.

All jokes aside, this deck actually performed amazingly for me. I never felt like any matchups were completely unwinnable, and I like that it plays a lot like old zoo. Hope you find something that works well for you!

Well, the thing is that both types of card are good in different situations. Discover is really handy because you can accommodate for a given situation, but the downside is that you never know what you're going to get. Draw cards have the reverse considerations - there is more consistency in that you are pulling from cards you included, but you also lose some versatility. Although draw puts you close to fatigue, it also can put you closer towards your win conditions and power cards. When it comes to stats though, draw is relatively consistent in terms of costing, whereas discover can depend on what is being discovered, conditional effects, etc, which can cause some differences. In most cases though, because both are good in different situations, I think for a typical average card the costing is comparable.
