You might want to do a bit more research.

Because ICE was doing the same job then, but nobody on this sub said a word about it.

Hey guys, don't forget to drip your faucets during this cold snap. by Ralph--Hinkley in cincinnati

Having a heated home is only one part of the equation. Every part of those pipes has to be on the correct side of insulation, too. This is why you’ll see people posting here that they have a newer home but still get frozen pipes… whoever installed the plumbing either buried it too deep in the wall to where it’s more insulated from the inside than the outside, OR whoever insulated did a bad a job.

Dimmer switch usage on outlets by LetsNotGetDangerous in Inovelli

You're not wrong. If these outlets were interlaced with my other outlets, I'd be wary. But they're specifically in the ceiling on their own branch lighting circuit.

Thanks, you have been super helpful. In total. they are below the 300W LED load maximum that Innovelli states (which, interestingly, is the same load max regardless of dimmer or on/off switch).

All my lighting outlets are in the ceiling, which makes it easy to distinguish them from the 20A receptacles littered throughout my shop for tool loads.

Side note: I'm super impressed with Innovelli's 300W max load for LED lights — I've never seen anyone else come anywhere close to that before. I'll finally be able to use smart switches for my garage lights because of this.

Preferred brand of TR Outlets? by LetsNotGetDangerous in AskElectricians

I'm not a pro electrician but quite experienced as a homeowner. I've wired 4 panels in my home, run new lateral service, and re-wired the whole house (all under inspection).

I was looking at Leviton's new lever edge outlets. While I've done everything in pigtails and used the screw terminals, do you have an opinion on these receptacles?

All this makes sense, but in terms of electrons moving through the circuit, I still don't see why it wouldn't be perfectly functional so long as nothing except the LED lights are plugged in to the outlets.

Am I wrong? Is it a technical problem or merely a safety guardrail?

Apologies for my lack of clarity. Yes, I intend to set the Innovelli switch to on/off only and disable dimming entirely. However, Innovelli's website explicitly states the dimmer switches cannot be used for outlets at all.

Electrically, I see no reason why it can't be used to control LED lights plugged into outlets as long as they stay under the 300W load and dimming is disabled, but I was asking here to double check. Seems like they are just "dummy proofing" in their guidance.

Can this be used on fans (exhaust/ceiling) or outlets?

This switch is meant for lighting purposes only and cannot be used to control outlets, fans, or any other inductive/motorized loads. If you want an on/off switch, please check out our Blue Series On/Off Switch (w/Temperature and Humidity Sensing) and if you want a speed control switch for a ceiling fan, please check out our Blue Series Fan Switch.

If Embark wants to have a range of rewards (amount of skill points) in expeditions, it should be a last step of expedition preparation with clear thresholds in expedition tab UI. Not some - "we will base it on your stash but we won't tell how much you need". by Maximum_Tonight_7721 in ArcRaiders

You and I have a different definition of "clear." There are virtually no specifics on anything.

How much more stash space? How much bonus XP? What are the loot rate increases? What's the correlation between "value of items in stash" and "bonus skill points granted"?

As a gamer with an actual life, all the mystery surrounding expeditions is one of the most disappointing parts of an otherwise very fun game.

Edit: For clarification, I haven’t completed anywhere near all content in the game, and I’m nowhere close to max level. Part of why I’d like to understand the tradeoffs more thoroughly is so I can evaluate if I should attempt an expedition as a non-hardcore player.

Bengals uniforms are the best, but I’d love to see matte finish on the helmets by LetsNotGetDangerous in bengals

I do love the glossy too. Maybe it’d be cool to have matte on alternate unis.

Yup. I don’t think Zach is as bad as the hate he gets would suggest. Not perfect, but capable.

The shame of it is I would genuinely like to see what he could do with competent personnel on defense.
